Calling Instant Flow from SharePoint formatted column

I am trying to make a call to a Power Automate Instant Flow from a formatted column. I'm taking my inspiration from this article - https://www.inspiribytes.com/power-automate/deploying-a-single-flow-to-multiple-sharepoint-libraries...

I set up the SharePoint column with the json:

I created my Instant Flow, and noted the ID in the URL and changed the JSON in the formatted column to match.

 

When I click the button, I see a message that says "Setting Up" - clicking it, it just says "Waiting"

 

When I review the Developer Console, I see the following message:

So I'm getting a Bad Request, but I cannot figure out why. There doesn't appear to be any other parameters that I should be setting other than the ID of the workflow.

What trigger are you using?  Is it for a selected file?

@DamoBird365 It is not - it is "Manually Trigger a Flow" button.  The reason I do not want to use "for a selected file", as described in the article that I referenced, is that I want this to be a generic process that can be consumed by multiple libraries.  The "for a selected file" trigger can only be used for a single library, and therefore requires duplication of the workflow.

I believe that is why it is failing as it requires the for a select file or item.

@DamoBird365 - this looks like it's going to work, although not quite in the way the article describes.  But "for a selected document" actually triggers, which is progress.  Much appreciated!

For future viewers - the "for a selected document" can be made generic, it really will accept any call from a button described in the article I posted.  Then it looks like you can just use itemUrl and get your document properties using the Site and Document ID.  In my case, the library will always be "Documents", but the itemURL also has a "ListId" query string parameter that can be leveraged.

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!    This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
