Hi @acerNZ

Possibility 1.

The reason why flow cannot find your gateway is maybe that you haven’t changed your connection after configuring your gateway.

After you have configured the gateway, you’ll need to add a new connection to use ‘file system’.

Make sure there is a File system connection in Flow connection list, and its status need to be Connected.

Otherwise, if you don’t create a new connection, you won’t be able to connect to your local file, and will get following error:

2.15-14.PNG

Possibility 2.

The reason why flow cannot find your gateway is maybe that your gateway is your company gateway and not using your personal email address.

If you want to use ‘file system’ connector, the you will need to use your own email address to register the gateway.

Besides, please update Gateway to the latest version, and Gateway needs to be used in the default environment.

Ps. You don’t need to create a gateway in Azure, there is no influence to Power Automate/Apps gateway.

Hi @acerNZ

1. So how do I  know what is the Site Address and What is the folder ?  Please can you explain me how to find out, If I have to create a few more apps?

Site Address is something like:

https://companyname.sharepoint.com/sites/sitename

Folder in sharepoint usually refers to folder in library.

Here is a passage describing folder in sharepoint:

Folder vs. Library in SharePoint - SharePoint Maven

2. File content is empty

If you want to get file content in sharepoint, then please use the action ‘Get file content’.

You can use get file content to get file from library or folder or list attachments.

For example, I use this action to get file from list attachments:

2.15-3.PNG

If you still get error, could you take a screenshot of your detailed steps trying to get file content?

3. As a test, I created two simple local file systems to copy file from one folder to another and still I get gateway error, I have installed gateway and I have restarted it before testing this, Still I get this gateway issue and message says Azure ?

Azure service bus is used for a gateway, so there is no problem here invoking Azure.

This gateway issue indicates that you didn’t configure the gateway in a right way or you didn’t start it when running the test. So the flow didn’t find the gateway.

Please make sure you keep the gateway online when running the test. Please don’t close it when you are running the test.

Please make sure you have installed an on-premises gateway and not a personal mode version, for more info about how to configure gateway, please go to the link:

On-premises data gateway - Power Automate | Microsoft Docs

3. From your response, I have understood what is Sharepoint Site is

but please can you confirm what is folder, from the link you gave and from search, I see absolute folders not the hyperlink (If I combine Sharepoint site and folder)

example: https://CompanyName.sharepoint.com/sites/FolderName/Shared%20Documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx?RootFolde...

Site : //CompanyName.sharepoint.com/sites

Folder: Shared Documents/forms/... ? or  Do I have to ensure that when I combine Folder with Site, I am able to copy paste the link in browser to get my sharepoint folder?

Thank you very much indeed

Hi @v-yiwenxie-msft

Thank you, I think as you have rightly mentioned, I have deleted all connectors, flows and enabled the on-premises flow and created again. I could successfully copy single file from one SharePoint folder to another.

Thank you. Now I can search add some loops etc. Thanks again.
