Some users get a blank automate flow panel

Hi everyone.

I'm asking the question here, because I can't find the reason, and 2 of the vendors we're using for support can't help us either.

Current situation:

We have 3 automate flows for a specific sharepoint list.

One of the flows contain a validation condition to see of 2 values match, and if not, it overwrites one of the 2 values so they do match. (Very simple flow)

The 2 others are email action flows that send a email with some attachment (Also pretty simple)

When our users select an item in the list, they can chose the automate option, and run it successfully.

Problem:

There are (so far) 3 people who can select an item in the list, click on the automate button, to which the flow panel opens and starts loading. Once the loading is done (spinner disappears) the panel remains blank. So they can not continue the flow itself.

Additional info:

The flow has the sharepoint list/site as flow owner.
The use of the flow is marked as "all users"

The 3 people has edit access to the sharepoint site.

Other people with view or edit access are able to run the flows

The 3 users have a power automate free licence attached to their account

Solution attempts:

- Users have tried on a different device.

- users have tried in an incognito browser.

- users have tried on different monitors (laptop screen vs external screen)

- users have tried on different locations (homeoffice, remote office, different remote office.

- remove and reassign of access to the sharepoint site & list

Any idea would be helpfull...

Thanks in advance!

If everything above is true, the only additional thing I can think of for you to check is to make sure your flow is in your default environment. Just to confirm, the trigger for your flow is For a selected item? For a selected item flows only run from the default environment.

It's a selected item flow. And again, some people can use this flow, some can't. no consistancy here...
We are currently checking if the impacted users vs non-impacted ones have specific. differences in allocated AD groups...

Hi @gerryvanbael !

Did you find any clue on this?

I got exactly the same issue, but in my case:

- I included the Sharepoint list in the Run only users

- I did try to include the user directly there (I kept the Sharepoint list)

- So far it happens only with 1 user

- The flow is started through a JSON link in the Sharepoint list

I realized that, for the ones that execute the flow with success, the following addresses show loading below in the browser:

 api.flow.microsoft.com and then api.bap.microsoft.com

For the one that it is not working, the api.bap.microsoft.com does not show up.

Maybe an issue with api.flow.microsoft.com authentication?

I thought it would be something related to VPN, but I tested with users not logged to it and it works fine (for the ones that don't have issues).

Cheers!

Hi all,

I did some testing, asking the end user to remove the Sharepoint connector within Power Automate, and trying to run it again - in this case the user could run it and then it stopped working. But with no success.

The only solution for this and another user who never got it to work was to run the flow using Chrome's Incognito mode.

I'm still trying to understand why it only works in incognito mode...

I would have the users who can run it in incognito mode open a regular browser session and then delete their entire browsing history including cookies. Maybe it is something that got stuck in the cache causing the problem.

No, still not working, even cleaning all browsing history and all other suff. I also tried a different browser.

And the problem started to happen with me.

- There are 3 different flows I can run in the same Sharepoint list. The issue happens with all of them. The trigger is them same: For a selected item

This happens when I have the issue (using F12 - DevTools):

EdgeErrorConsole.png

EdgeErrorNetwork.png

And this when I have no erros (using incognito mode):

ChromeOKConsole.png

ChromeOKNetwork.png

It's driving me crazy.. I just implemented this for the whole area, and I'm afraid it starts to happen with more and more people.

After reviewng the errors, and doing a little more researches, I strongly believe it has something to do with MFA conflicts. Please let me know, if you are facing this issue, do you have MFA implemented in your company?

The issue stopped happening to me the next day.

Thank you.
