Wunderlist pass TaskID to update with note or comment

task_flow.JPGI am setting up a flow that is triggered when I tag an email in Outlook (connected to O265).

It successfully creates a Wunderlist task, but then when I try to pass the TaskID down to the next step so that I can

1. Put the body of the email into a NOTE on the task,

2. If Has attachments

    a. save attachment to Onedrive

    b. Update the Task with FileLocator (in comments)

...it fails.

I can save the attachments fine, but when I try to pass in the TaskID as a variable for the two Wunderlist updates (note and comment), it fails. Here's the FLOW (to the right) that is failing. And below is the error I get.

If I can solve the problem adding the note, then perhaps I can move on to the similar issue of updating the comments with the FileLocator. That part of the flow is within a condition, so not sure if that has to do with passing the variable.

I finally got the flow to work, doing the following:

1. When I tag an email in Outlook

2. Create a Wunderlist tag

3. Add the body of the email as the NOTE in the task (convert HTML to text first)

4. IF has attachments (that are not png, because those are usually decorative email artifacts)

    a. Save the attachments to OneDrive

    b. Save the URL directly to the file as a comment on the task (sort of pieced together, see below)

5. Archive the email

Hi @Anonymous,

I saw you have a "Get my profile" action in the middle and you didn't mention it in your post. I cannot find anywhere you use the outputs from this action in other actions/conditions. May I know why you need this?

I also cannot understand the purpose to add the "Compose" and the first "Apply to each". Would you please help to explain this? I just created a flow like this:

Capture.PNG

And every email I flagged in my inbox will have a successful run and will create a note in Wunderlist.

Sorry if I have asked to many questions.

Regards,

Mona

Mona,

Thank you for responding. I have edited my flow as shown below. The steps you have below are working fine, but what is not working are
1. Cycle through the attachments and save them to OneDrive

2. Add the fileLocator for each file as a comment on the Task

HERE'S MY CURRENT FLOW

HERE'S THE ERROR MESSAGE

I appreciate any help you can give!

The only caveats are

1. The file URL only works for filenames with no spaces, since EncodeUrl() does not work within the flow. Otherwise I could've covered all file names.

2. If the file already exists in OneDrive, you can't tell it to overwrite or rename, it just fails.
