Very new to Automate and I setup a VERY basic flow that does work. It's the "Create a task in Planner based on Office 365 Outlook calendar". However I noticed it only works when I select my own personal calendar. Is their a way to change it to either a group calendar or a shared public calendar? I see an option to put in the calendar ID, but of course there is no way to find the info for the calendar id.
On a side note is it also possible to have flows email more than just 1 person or is that another limitation?

Hi @LGHTme
Thank you for your update.
Based on my test, only user/shared/resource mailbox calendar which is shared with you is able to be detected in flow.
Here is the whole process you can have a test. (DXX and DXX2 are two of my test accounts)
Share DXX2' calendar to DXX via outlook/OWA:
Confirm you can open this shared calendar under your people's calendar list:
Select that calendar from flow successfully.
It works for calendars which follows up the rules above. But for others like O365 group or public folder, it won't work as described. I did lots of research but there is no any further detailed information clarified officially.
Apologize for inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding.
Thanks

Hi @LGHTme
Thank you for posting.
According to your description, you would like to create events in group calendar/ shared public calendar. However, you can’t find CalendarID. If any misunderstanding, please kindly let me know.
Is their a way to change it to either a group calendar or a shared public calendar?
To operate on other’s calendar, we must be assigned ‘edit’ permission in advance. However, it’s not feasible to set group calendar permissions for specific users in Office 365 groups. When you join a group, your email address is automatically added to the distribution list and you gain access to all group information including the group calendar for scheduling group meetings and events.
I see an option to put in the calendar ID, but of course there is no way to find the info for the calendar id.
As long as you want to perform any action on others’ calendar, the ‘edit’ permission is necessary. Even though you get calendar ID, you can’t select/modify it without permission.
May I know what do you mean by ‘shared public calendar’. Whether it’s a shared mailbox calendar or public folder mailbox calendar? We do have several kinds of shared calendar in O365.
is it also possible to have flows email more than just 1 person or is that another limitation?
Yes, it’s possible to send email to several recipients within one email in flow. We just need to separate these email addresses with semicolons.

Hope the content above may help you.

Thanks for the reply Anna. I'm a global admin for the domain so I'm certain it's not permissions. Plus every calendar I tried to connect to I created and the group the calendar is in so again permissions should never come into question. Basically it was ANY calendar be it Office 365 group, team, sharepoint, or shared public calendar for Outlook I couldn't connect to anything outside of "Calendar" nor is there a way to find the calendar ID. Not even sure why Calendar ID is an option as after looking for some time to try and figure out how to find the elusive ID for a calendar the best I could do was find a post several years ago that no longer works.
Hi @LGHTme
Thank you very much for your explanation.
If that's the case, I'm afraid it's a by-design behavior. The shared calendar is not supported in outlook connector. This is one of the known limitations. So it's not feasible even though we extract CalendarID.
Here is the link contains all known limits for outlook connector, you can have a look.

Since it's by design, we could also go to UserVoice to post this idea.

Ok as you mentioned "there are lots of calendars" what about a teams calendar, a calendar in SharePoint, an office 365 group calendar? Ironically the Outlook connector DOES work as it's does create task, but only based on MY personal calendar in Outlook not a public calendar.
