Trigger the process of invoice processing using AI builder with a button click

Hi,

Is it possible to trigger the process of invoice processing and training with a button click rather than performing it manually. I need to integrate my App with AI builder so than a button click will upload minimum 5 documents for training and another button click will analyse the documents, tag the required parameters  and  complete the training process similar to AI builder. After training, user need to input a document of the same template and view the list of extracted values from the input document. How can I complete the use case?

Hi,

The training APIs of AI Builder are not public at the moment so this is not officially supported.

You could monitor the calls performed when you are training a model in AI Builder wizard with some developper tools and reproduce these HTTP request inside Power Apps with a custom HTTP connection.

Though we don't provide any guaranty that these API calls will not change in the future.

I recommend to post this feature request in https://aka.ms/ideas.aibuilder 

By curiousity why do you need to replicate the standard AI Builder training wizard in a Power App?

Thanks for the reply.

Normally, AI builder trains a template using a set of similar invoices. So If I'm having multiple invoice templates and I need to extract same set of values (Invoice id, Invoice Date etc...) from all the templates, It's better to replicate the complete procedure of uploading documents and training  in all templates by integrating AI builder feature with my Application in PowerApps. 

Can you elaborate your solution?

AI Builder now support collections.

The best practice is to declare the common fields you want to extract from your templates in the first step of the wizard and then declare as many collection as template types.

Finally, you will tag each collection with previously declared fields.

Can you forward information about the current API s of steps in AI builder?

As I said, the APIs are not public.

You can activate the developer tool for instance in Chrome using F12 and check the requests.

Though, again as said earlier there is no guaranty that these requests will not change in the future.
