Hello,
I have a problem with selecting field on Book Loan Check-out. It doesnt show anything, as on photo. I have the same problem with books below the student search. Date selection works perfectly. Can someone help me? I will be greatful.

Thank you for the tip. #1 fixed it for me.
I deleted the form (Check-Out Screen) and the code related to "OnSelect" for the "Check out book" button (Home Screen). Then added them back as instructed in the video.
As @Aala_95 pointed out, I also had 9 selected fields available for the form by default. The instructor had 8. As I added the form and the OnSelect code back in the app, I allowed my form to look different than the Instructor's app. I left all the extra fields in for a moment. Only after completing all the steps as instructed in the video, clicking the "Check out book" button on the Home Screen, and verifying that my dropdowns were working properly on the Check-Out Screen, only then I tweaked my form to look as it was supposed to look. This final step didn't break the form. The dropdowns still worked.
I'm guessing the relevant thing here is that the App editor is buggy at times. And the key thing was to delete some things and build them again. Seems to be a recurring theme with Dataverse and Power Apps.
Hi there,
To start with, when you click on the "Advance" tab for both the student and book copy, the fields you should see in the search field are "pu_Student" for the student and "pu_BookCopy" for the book copy. If you have something different displayed, then all you need to do is change what you see to "pu_Student" for the student and "pu_BookCopy" for the book copy. That's what I did, and I hope it helps.
To solve this problem, I deleted all fields from the existing edit form and readded the fields required for the form. I than updated the formulars for the date fields and made the adjustments to the placeholder text.
i have the same issue. Student and book drop down is not loading the values. How to resolve?
The issue is fixed after adding the fields as shown and then deleting. but the filter condition used for Available books is not working. anyone with that issue?
Hi All,
When making changes to the Items property of a Combo Box control, some properties will reset automatically. Two of them are the DisplayFields and the SearchFields properties. The first one defines which fields are displayed and the second one which field(s) are included in when searching.
In case you run into a situation where the combo box is giving you blank values, select it, in the properties pane select Edit fields and then select the fields you want to display / search. For this exercise they should be set to Full Name:
Hello all,
To resolve this issue, kindly set your Items = Fx Choices([@Loans].Student)
Removing the pu_ from the student resolves the issue.
For Book Copy keep it the same Items =Fx Choices([@Loans].pu_BookCopy)
Thanks it was helpful. It solved my problem.
