"pu_studentfullname" not found

Hi guys,

I've been trying to get this code to work.

Search(Loans, txtSearch.Text, "pu_studentfullname")
pu_studentfullname is not found when I start typing. i only see StudentFullName. used this and it worked but I'm now having issues in a future lesson.

This is for the Library Manager Canvas App

Any idea to get this work. I've been trying for the past 6 days with no luck.

Canvas app. cant see pu_student...Canvas app. cant see pu_student...

Hi @Ezeoma ,

Recently there has been an update to PowerFX where no longer double quotes and the logical names are needed as input, but the DisplayName of the column instead: Power Fx: Column names escape double quotes | Microsoft Power Apps

At the time the video was recorded, the double quotes were needed, but that has changed, hence a discrepancy between what you see in the video and what you see when editing the app.

From what I can see, in the light of the above, the formula you posted should work since it is the correct DisplayName:

Hello @Ezeoma,

Did you add the dataverse connections to the app?
Loans, Book Copies, Contacts, Books

You might need/missed the Contacts Data link

I will recommend to look into "Build a Canvas App for a school library"  Vid 5 Connect to Loans table data in my canvas app

Spoiler alert:

your Formula should look like this at the end.

Search(
Filter( Loans,IsBlank('Date Returned')),
txtSearch.Text,
pu_studentfullname
)
