Action to cancel current flow

I have a flow with approvals in a parallel branch as described here: https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/parallel-modern-approvals/

Now, suppose one user rejects the approval. I still need to wait until all approvers have completed their tasks before the Flow can proceed.  This creates unnecessary busywork for people and I'd like to avoid this.

Is there way to either:

• Cancel the flow from a Flow action; or
• "Jump out" of the parallel branch step

Can you please share your whole configuration of your flow? 

Both of your requirement cannot be achieved. You can turn off the flow completely, but you cannot only turn off one action inside.

You could post this idea in the Flow Ideas forum, so it might be considered for future releases.

Hi,

You do have an option here. There is a field named "Approval Type" in the "Start an Approval" component in Microsoft flow. you can select "Everyone from the assigned list" option in it. In this the approval will be send to all the Approvers simultaneously and once it is rejected from any one of them then the approval  flow automatically stops.

By default the option selected in the "Approval Type" field in the "Start an Approval" component is set to "Anyone from the assigned list". To view that option you may need to add a new "Start an Approval" component to you flow.

Hi @Jyotsna your suggestion is working fine if the flow contains 1 approval that has the same outcome in case of Approve (or reject) regardless by whom did actually approved the request. We're looking for a solution where there 3 approvals, each with a different outcome/action started in // in the same flow. Any suggestion of how we can stop the flow for all 3 // approvals in that case?

@EricDeferm well in this case you could create an "and" function like this: 

and(equals(variables('HRApproverResponse'), 'Approve'), equals(variables('LegalApproverResponse'), 'Approve')) 

where variables('HRApproverResponse') and variables('LegalApproverResponse') are the responses from parallel approval cycle. So if both the responses are 'Approve' then the flow will go further else it will not. In your case, if any one of them is 'Reject' or the "and" condition returns false so the flow will end else it will keep on running. So, in the false or "NO" box you could add the "Stop Flow" component.
