Apply To/Condition or ODATA Filter

Is there ODATA filter language I can use to replace the Apply to and Condition?

Action: When an item is added to the SharePoint 'HD PoC Form List', generate and send an email to an email address on the 'HD PoC Names and Emails List', based on (and matches) the contents of Category in the 'HD PoC Form List'. Each Category only appears once in the 'Names and Emails List'.

Sorry for the late reply. The outputs are shown in the expressions I put beneath the screenshot. It's getting the output from the Compose which contains our first item returned.

I've got a slightly different set of lists, but hopefully show you what you need.

My first list is called Courses which has a list of courses, the director of the course, and description.

And another list called Student Courses which is what will cause the trigger - when a new item is created. My Course column here is a Lookup column to the Courses list, but we'll assume it's a Choice field here the same as what you have.

The full flow is below. I'll go into each of the actions.

grantjenkins_5-1668250665917.png

My trigger is set on my Student Courses list.

Get items gets the items from the Courses list where the Title is equal to the Course Value from the Student Courses list. This will always return a single result but will be in an array since we used Get items.

I then use a Compose to get the first item returned. There will only be a single item, but it will be in an array since we used Get items. This simple gets the item out of the array. The expression I've used to get the first item is:

first(outputs('Get_items')?['body/value'])

grantjenkins_6-1668250771445.png

We can then Send an email to the person with details from the trigger (the item that was added).

grantjenkins_7-1668250826948.png

The expression I used to get the email is below. This is getting the email of the Director which is a Person field.

outputs('Compose')?['Director/Email']

And to get the name I use the following expression:

outputs('Compose')?['Director/DisplayName']

The rest of the fields in the email come from the trigger.

Hope that all makes sense. Feel free to ask any questions, etc.

Thank you for the detailed explanation.

I see the compose where I see one 'First', but I don't see where, the two Outputs are built/designated.

How/Where are the Outputs generated? I assume they just appear in the dynamic expression options of the Send Email, but where/how are they generated?

Thank you!

No apology necessary.

Thank you for the clarification.

If I may, I have a need to develop a template for 'Due in 90 days', 'Due in 60 days', 'Due in 30 days', and 'Expired / Now Due'.

What would be your recommendation and recommended format for the flow(s)?

One scheduled automatic recurring flow with all the conditions, or one  scheduled automatic recurring for each condition?

I'd recommend posting that as a new question - that way others might come up with a better solution that me. Feel free to ping me in the post so I see it. I'd likely go with a single flow for all options.
