Hi everyone! First-time poster here.
I am using Power Automate in order to set up Teams -> Planners. I'm using these as task workflows. I set up all of the tasks in an Excel spreadsheet and then feed it into Sharepoint for the population of data in Planner.
Everything is working great except for one thing. After it finishes populating in Planner, I have to go through each task and manually add the Label. The labels are used to differentiate roles... ie. Marketing vs Operations.
The Labels are defined in the spreadsheet I am using. Is there a way to modify the Flow to allow Labels to be assigned through this task population, automation?
I can post pieces of my setup if it will help. Thanks!

You can add the labels by colour - you just can't name them through the flow.
So assign colours to match your labels in your source file.
In the flow initialise variables for each of the labels colours you are using and one to check the colour in your source
Set the variable Colour equal to your colour in the source
@{items('Apply_to_each_-_Process_Completed_tasks')?['Colour']}
Then set a condition for whether your label is on or off
Then do a create task using the variables
So the final piece after adding them is to manually name the labels in the plan. You only have to do it once

Anyone considering more customizations of Planner with things like Power Automate or Teams, I recommend checking this option 1st to get a Planner-like board on a SharePoint list view that can interface with Teams:
It’s often much easier to customize & program things for SharePoint and avoids a lot of syncing efforts.
Honestly dude, I'm no expert but if you follow my example above it should be a breeze. Hopefully you got it sorted by now, but I'm happy to answer questions.
I figured it out a while ago and its amazing! I have a filtering systems based on input from the people requesting projects. Quite useful!
Is it me or now the Create a Task action doesn't allow to assign labels directly?
I cannot see the label colors as parameters in the form.

The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities. Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”) - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024 Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.
