Birthday wishes same name repeating several times in create HTML Table

Hi

I have created a flow to send Birthday wishes for employees.

Flow as follows

On particular day, only one employee is having birthday.

But in HTML output, same employee name repeated several times.

Understood this was happened due to Apply to each.

Request you to help me resolve this issue.

Could you please share more details about your scenario? Do you have a DOB column in the Employees list where contains info of all the employees? If so, you can use filter query in Get items action to list employees whose birthday is Today and then Apply to each and send Email to each employee. 

Filter query expression, get date value from today's date and compare with DOB column values:

substringof('@{formatDateTime(utcNow(),'MM-dd')}', DOB)

From expression, to convert current object of Apply to each items to type array so that it can be used as the input:

array(items('Apply_to_each'))

I have DOB sharepoint column is having all the employee Date of Birth.

Ex

Today - 04/18/2023

Employee Birthday - 04/18/1988

Condition : 04/18 (Today)= 04/18 (Employee Birthday) no need to compare Year

Then you can use Filter array action to get employees:

@equals(formatDateTime(item()?['DOB'], 'MMdd'), formatDateTime(utcNow(), 'MMdd'))

Value in Create HTML table action:

items('Apply_to_each')?['ColumnName']

need to check internal column names for sure from the outputs of Get items or Filter array in a run history.

Filter array output is filtering correctly. But huge data is displaying along with required data.

I have copy paste the Filter array output data in to Word document it is having 74 pages. Filter Array Input also almost same.

Data is filtering correctly and upto select took more time and while running Create html table got error Run Time out.

How many records are there in the outputs of Filter array? Generally, it will take several seconds to create an HTML table for one record. So, if there are too many records, flow will fail. You can use a length function to include the Filter array outputs in a Compose to see the result.

We have present 500 records and will increase in future.

It's not relevant to the total number of records in the list, but about how many employees with same birthday. In that flow, the result of Filter array should get employees that birth on today 4-19 because of the condition. I don't think the number is big. 

To check outputs array items number, use Compose in the flow with the length function:

If the number is small, you may need to share how do you create the HTML table and the details in Send an Email action.

For this compose action I can able to find how many are having Birthday today.

But today only 2 employees are having birthday.

For 2 employees flow is taking long time.

Is there any solution to resolve this issue.

For 2 employees create HTML table should not take too much time, unless there is something wrong in this action. I have tested with a single column array, it ran quite smoothly.

So, no matter the Select action is in or out of Apply to each, create HTML table should not fail. I need more details of how you set in this action.
