Blank Attachments

Hi Community,

I'm new to Power Automate and self learning the flows.   I've created a Flow which works well apart from the step to attached PDF files to a email.  The PDF files are attached to the email but the contents is blank.  Can anyone help. 

In the flow images it's the middle branch, I get the file metadata and file content for each PDF and add that to the attachment on the Send an Email (V2)1.

Do you want to send the pdf file uploaded in MS Form as an email attachment?

If so, I did a test for your reference.

In my scenario:

Please go to the classic designer and recreate the flow to avoid unnecessary loops.

My Flow:

items('Apply_to_each')?['id']

{
"Name":@{items('Apply_to_each')?['Name']},
"ContentBytes":@{body('Get_file_content')}
}

Jump out of the Apply to each loop and add send an email.

No, when someone completes the form, I automate sending them a email; to the email entered in the Form.  The email I want to send them needs to include the attachments which are PDFs from OneDrive.

I found that your method of getting pdf files works in classic designer.

Please switch to classic designer.

The method works for me to get the files but the files are blank.   I switched to Classic Designer and Saved the Flow but the attachments are still blank.   When you open your attachments are they blank?

Could you please recreate a simple flow in Classic Designer and do a simple test?

Go to the email to see if the pdf file is blank.

Hi Sunshine, 

Thank you for your help.  The simple flow works in both New Designer and Classic.  The PDF is not blank.
It doesn't help my automated flow though.  I can't see why the PDF is blank in the flow with the Form as the trigger?
Is there another way to attach a file to a email that is sent to the respondent of a form?

Please go to classic designer and recreate the flow, this is not a trigger issue, please check this test.

Hi Sunshine, I'll have chance later today to build it.  Will let you know if it works.
The attachments are not uploaded in the form though, they are attached to a email from OneDrive.  The email is auto sent to the email address that is entered in the form when a new response is submitted.
