Bookings - "When an appointment is Updated" never gets triggered

Hello folks!

I am trying to build a flow that can handle rescheduling an existing booking on Microsoft Bookings. But the trigger action "When an appointment is Updated" never gets triggered.

When testing, it says "To see this flow work, modify an existing booking on the booking page or the booking calendar." I have tried both, and everytime I do I get a notification email from MS Bookings, but my flow just does not run. No error message, it just tries to listen to a modification and stays like that forever.

I have double-checked, triple-checked the SMTP address. I use it for two other flows for creation and cancelation of an appointment, and they work just fine. So I do not understand why only this trigger won't work.

Does anybody have any ideas? I would be super grateful if anyone could help me with this!

Hi @AVoraman,

Thank you for your reply! That is interesting, I didn't know that. I'll keep it in mind that you can only have five flows for the same Bookings ID.

I reached out to the support center, and they went over my flow with me. I had two or three same accounts connected to my flows for some weird reason, and once we chose one of them the flow started working fine.

Thank you guys for your help! I appreciate your kindness 🙂

Hi @mmtd

I did tested this and it is working as expected. Could you please disable this flow and create a new one and try.

Thanks

Hello @abm ,

Thanks for your response. I forgot to write this but I had tried re-creating a new flow, but that had not worked. I also tried creating a brand-new flow and tested it this morning, also no luck.

Any ideas what to do?

Edited:

I just tried to use my testing account to create a new flow for this, making sure that the SMTP address was correct. Again, it would never trigger the flow.

Hi @mmtd

Running out of options here. Leave it for another day. Then try to create a new flow. If that doesn't work then you may need to look into Microsoft support for this.

Thanks

I totally forgot about MS support. Thank you for the input! I have reached out to them.

Have a wonderful day.

Somewhere, I read you can only have five Flows for the same Bookings ID.

When I had issues with Bookings triggers, it was due to my M365 account email address changing. Instead of creating a new account, the admin added my new email as an alias on the old account, then after several  months, removed the original email.  When I tried connecting to Bookings, it was expecting my original email address, which no longer existed.

Hope this helps.

I am having the same issue now. My "when an appointment is updated" does not get triggered anymore.

How can I reach out to the support center? Is there a phone number, or email?

I have been looking for solution for a week now, still no luck. Thanks in advance

Hello @stanleyhuang, I'm having the same issue as you. Have you heard from Microsoft support?

Thanks in advance

Yes, I troubleshooted together with their support team, but they don't even have a solution other than asking me to copy the flow to a new one and disable the old one. During the troubleshooting, the trigger did work for one time with no delay. However, after the call, the trigger works but with a 10-minute delay. For example, as below, the booking was updated at 5:26pm, but the trigger started at 5:36pm. At least, as of now, this 10-minute delay is consistent.

Hello,

Thanks, i did the same copy the flow and disable the old one a month ago, but it's always the same issue, i got exactly the same delay

Good to know that I am not the only one here. They mentioned to me that it might be caused by my specific flow, which does not make sense to me. Your same problem proved my point. I wish Microsoft could actually dig into the issue and solve it. But seems like they are not, unfortunately.
