Building Flow connect with google map API

Hello Guys

Anyone would mind giving me some advise how to create a flow that when i send an address text (ex: 28 west wood, LA) flow will send this text to Google map and find places near by

and Then flow will send a list of places near by find in google map back to Flow and announce it in Kaizala.

Maybe feedback data from google map can be a link that navigate user from kaizala to google map App to see places nearby

Tks for all your help.

Hi there!  That's a big question, so help me figure out where you are in the process and what stuff you are comfortable with?

Without digging too deep, it looks like there's a Google Map API you can tie into, and then maybe use an HTTP GET to send the info to Google and get some info.  When you say "Find some places nearby"...what kind of places?

Here's a blog I wrote that does kind of the same thing, but using Yelp instead of Google, and Teams instead of Kaizala.  The methods should be pretty close, and there's an additional layer of a chatbot and natural language, but you can ignore those if you want.

Keep us posted.

Try inserting a step after your HTTP get called "Parse JSON"...that should put you exactly where you want to be.

Great work!

@edgonzales Hi, buddy!!

First, thanks you for your support and ur post are so nice.

and second thing: my ideal is same with ur post but i dont want to use Yeld.

Maybe i discript some of my ideal and hope u can help me build a flow like you but dont use Yeld. Ah... if can, would u mind trading contact with me for more conservation about Microsoft Flow and more. Im a younger and wanna learn about this. Here my FB contact https://www.facebook.com/UnstableThing

Thanks you so much.

Here some of my ideal:

1. when user chat in Kaizala about specific address (Ex: 23 WestWood, LA)

2. an AI will give some Feedback mesage  (Ex: Do u want finding some places nearby) [I already done this]

3. User will send an action and do some survey then send back to AI. (this srrvey like giving user some suggestion like: Hotel, restaurant, or game center for AI to searching these places nearby) and my problem is dont know how to get user location if not use Yelp.

4. Then AI will search in Google map and response in a ChatCard View like ur post.

That's all my ideal
Do u have any ideal about this
sincerely

@Keita248

Thank you for the kind words, it's my pleasure to help out where I can.  My preference is to keep the conversation here so that others might have an opportunity to benefit from our journey.

So, on that Google API...if you just want to drop a map in there with a pin on the location, it looks like that is free.  But if you want to do any kind of search, Google wants some money.  We can work with whatever you'd like, but it's good to keep the project scope in mind rather than the available tools, right?  I'm not trying to steer you to Yelp, but it does have all of the search capabilities mentioned in your scope.  Also, it's a good idea to check Microsoft products first since those connectors will (hopefully) be more robust.  There is a connector for Bing Maps and Bing Search which may also do the things you want to do.

The other thing, take a look at the triggers in Kaizala and see if any line up with what you want to do.  I saw one for if a text message is sent, but I think that's different than a chat message, no?  Are we stuck on Kaizala as the interface?  I can see the appeal (especially with a large group of mixed users), but if the scope allows, maybe look at PowerApps.  Location info there is pretty straight forward.  If Kaizala is it, then look for an API or something that grabs the user location and make a custom connector (plenty of cool blogs on that, too).

Either way, keep at it.  This is a cool project and worth the energy you're putting into it.  You are going to learn some very cool things along the way...even if you don't get it working.

Keep us posted.

What is the Parse Json if I only want to get a specific information, for example - the Travel Distance (km) and maybe collect to an Excel as data
