Building Power Automate from SharePoint List customized with Power Apps Filter by Date Column

Good Morning, 

I am attempting to build a flow. MoveDate is field_4. 

I would like to send the email 2 months or 60 days after the MoveDate. Below is the flow, the email and the format of field_4. 

I'm using:

formatDateTime(addDays(utcNow(),60),'yyyy-MM-dd') 

error received: 

The expression "field_4 eq ''2024-03-16'''" is not valid. Creating query failed.

Hi @AHaley ,

I think the expression needs to be: addDays(utcNow(),60,'yyyy-MM-dd')

 

Don't for get to enclose the addDays function within single quotes.

Good Morning, 

I am no longer getting an error but the email is not actually filtered.

I also attempted to use filter array on a calculated column, that doesn't seem to be working either.

Hi @AHaley 

Can you show the runtime output of the Get items action. For example, Get Items action

Here is the Get Items runtime

I've added the following filter (field_4 ne null) so that the Get Items action ignores empty field_4 columns, but it's optional.

And this is the SharePoint List I'm using for testing. I've also included the expression I'm using for the addDays() function.

 

Finally, I'ved used the length function to count the number of items that have been read from the List by the Get Items action. I'm expecting the Get items action to return 2 items:

Hi @AHaley ,

Please use the following filter query: 

 

The null value should not be enclosed in quotes.

And the date calculation can be simplified from:

formatDateTime(addDays(utcNow(),60),'yyyy-MM-dd') 

 to:

addDays(utcNow(),60,'yyyy-MM-dd')

Thank you for your assistance, I separated the statements and the "not null" statement works but the add days statement is not pulling the records. Maybe I didnt explain what I need very well,

I want to send the email 60 days after the date that is present in column "Field_4".

Hi @AHaley ,

Please post the runtime output of the Get items action. Then check the output of the filter query with your List data to ensure that the expression is correct and that it will match items contained in your SharePoint List: 

 

The Filter Query above will look for items where field_4 = 2024-01-16.  My SharePoint list contains two items with the date 2024-01-16 (my SharePoint site is setup to display the date in UK date format, dd/MM/yyyy):

 

The filter query returns two items:
