Hi
I have a flow connected to Sharepoint, when a file is modified it sends an email with some details.
In Dynamic content i am able to select 'modified by' name, email, department, picture etc but i want 'modified by - office location'
is this possible?
thanks!

Hi again @LucyD
Perfect. Thank you.
Then do the following take the "modified by user email" dynamic content from your sharepoint output and put it into a get an user profile. This should give you all information on the user, including office location:
My bad, I though it was possible to get it directly based on the triggeroutputs, but this will 100% work.
If you are satisfied with the result, please Accept my post as a solution. This will in turn help other find solutions to similar questions.

Hi @LucyD ,
Please try this.
In a compose put this in an expression: triggeroutputs()
This will take out all the information on the person who triggered the flow:
I don't have the same setup as you but I can show you how to get specific values, which should help you solve this.
Here is some of my trigger outputs which I've copied from the "triggeroutputs()" compose.
So let's say I want Department, which I guess is approx. the same place you have office location I use the following expression in a compose:
Hi @Heartholme thank you for the solution i think it could work! i have tried using the exact trigger output in your example and it is returning the department correctly (as predicted)
I have then tried amending the trigger output entering officelocation (also various other ways eg office location, office, location etc) instead of department but nothing is returned
apologies as i am not an IT person, but how do I get to the page in your screenshot? so i can find the correct path to follow?
thank you!
Lucy
Hi @LucyD ,
Ok, good that you're getting deparment out correctly. Then we're one step in the right direction.
If you put a compose action in your flow and paste this in : triggeroutputs() as an experssion:
If you should run into an issue with getting it returned after getting out the triggeroutputs, let me know and I can take a look. It can be a bit technical for a non it person in the start, but once you do this a couple of times I think it will make a lot more sense 😊

HI @Heartholme
OK I think i have added the trigger output correctly 🙂
if i enter triggerOutputs()?['body/Editor/Department'] it works
but if i enter triggerOutputs()?['body/Editor/officelocation'] it does not (nothing is returned)
so i think body/Editor/officelocation is not the correct path for this field, but i am not sure how to find it!
i have also tried 'body/Editor/office', 'body/Editor/location', 'body/Editor/office location' and still no luck
do you know where i can find the path?
thank you!
Lucy
Yes, add another compose with only triggerOutputs() (not triggerOutputs()?['body/Editor/officelocation']) in it, and that should give you something like this for output, which will enable us to see if this information is carreid over to Power Automate and where it is located:
So, please try that, and share the results with me and we can take a look together, if that's needed 😊
ahhh OK I understand! thank you!
i have tried this and can see the outputs, but unfortunately it does not show the field i am looking for - i get the same result as you. nowhere in the output is showing the 'office location' ☹️
