Check the Value response to Excel File

The form is submitted which Device Name is required.

Once form is submitted, it will check if the value of Device Name from the submitted form is in the Column A of excel.

This is the flow I created but not working.

I am getting false answer from the condition but the Device Name is in the excel Column A, can someone help.

So what you have shown here should work - I've just created a quick table and flow, using a compose instead of a form response, and this condition works.

I tried using 'contains' and 'is equal to' and both work.

Can you check the outputs from your list rows present in a table on a completed run to double check that the data you are expecting is there

Is your form already populated with drop downs for the device names or are they being entered manually?

If it's dropdown can you check that there are no leading spaces in the names as this could be causing the issue.

Again I tested this adding a leading space to my device compose so it read " dname1" and this caused it to not work.

I assume, that you want to filter the Excel rows for columns with a certain value (is equal to) and send an email if there is such a row.

Am I right?

Thank you for the response Craig. Yes, It is already populated with the names. I checked and there are no leading spaces.

Yes, I want to lookup the value that MS Form they submitted which is the device name to the excel File which devices names are already populated.

So you want a Filter action with your Excel rows as Input and your form value "is equal to" Device name from Excel col

If you have problems with the comparison, you should show us the output of the corresponding values.

Hi Criag and Chriddle, 

Craig is correct and it is working but the problem now, when I check the output of "List rows present in table step" it only showed me 257 rows from Column A but I have 30000 rows in that column which explains why it fails.

When I tried to use the machine name from that 257 output it sent me email. What could possibly or settings of that step why I am not getting all the rows in that table.

On your list items present in a table, click the 3 dots, turn pagination on and set a threshold limit.

By default it only pull 256 rows

Thanks Craig and it seems to be 5000 is the maximum I tried 30000 and I am getting the error.

It should still go through all your rows - just in batches of 5000 at a time.

You might not need all rows but only those that match the criteria your form value "is equal to" Device name.

This can be done by an odata filter.
