Copying O365 calendar events to SharePoint list

Hi

I'm trying to copy events from O365 calendars to SharePoint lists and am having problems.
I'm using Kris' solution here as a starting point but adding in some format and convert functions as I believe the errors I was getting were due to time zone problems.

The error I'm getting now is:

Unable to process template language expressions in action 'Compose_2' inputs at line '1' and column '38988': 'The template language function 'convertFromUtc' expects its second parameter to be a string that contains the target time zone. The provided value is of type 'Null'. Please see https://aka.ms/logicexpressions#ConvertFromUtc for usage details.'.

And the expression is this:
convertFromUtc(outputs('Compose'),triggerBody()?['GMT Standard Time'])

I know that SharePoint stores all dates as UTC regardless of the timezone settings for the site.  I believe (but I haven't tested) that Exchange/Outlook does the same.  Have you tried running your Flow to create the SharePoint entry without attempting to convert the time zones?

I did try that originally, and have just tried again now, without trying to convert and get this error:

Flow save failed with code 'OpenApiOperationParameterValidationFailed' and message 'Input parameter 'item' validation failed in workflow operation 'Create_item': The parameter with value '"@triggerOutputs()?['body/start']"' in path 'item/Starttime' with type/format 'String/date-no-tz' is not convertible to type/format 'String/date-time'.'.

Sorry for replying to myself but I've managed to solve the creation of new records.

I did two things:

1 Used a SharePoint Calendar list (not sure if this made a difference actually)

2 Converted to and from UTC within the create item:

Start Time

convertFromUtc(convertToUtc(triggerOutputs()?['body/start'], 'GMT Standard Time'), 'GMT Standard Time')

End Time

convertFromUtc(convertToUtc(triggerOutputs()?['body/end'], 'GMT Standard Time'), 'GMT Standard Time')

BUT

The no side of the condition (modify or delete) isn't working 🙁

I'm getting an error like this:

OpenApiOperationParameterTypeConversionFailed. The 'inputs.parameters' of workflow operation 'Delete_item' of type 'OpenApiConnection' is not valid. Error details: Input parameter 'id' is required to be of type 'Integer/int64'. The source type/format 'Object' of the value

Hi @MonM 

Can you focus on the no branch and show the data type of the Current Item , as it seems it is referring for the whole list item and for you to delete you need only the ID .. can you show this in the Dynamic values to determine its type.

Thanks for the reply! I'm afraid I'm not exactly sure what you mean though... is it that I'm using "Current item" instead of "ID" from the Dynamic Content?

Hi @MonM 

As per the screen shot in the "Apply to each" action you selected the "Body" so the current item type in the loop is not ID 

Try replacing the Body with the ID and check if the deletion works as the Delete action is expecting the ID of the item to delete.
