Hi all,
I'm having problems with how to correctly do this. This might be possible within SharePoint, but I am sure it is possible with Automate Flows.
I have a list that gets multiple entries in a day, with a Score value attached to it.
Ex.
1/1/23 - 30
1/1/23 - 28
1/1/23 - 40
1/2/23 - 20
1/3/23 - 60
1/3/23 - 4
I'm trying to count all the entries in the first list that have a specific date, then multiplying the maximum score for that date by the count, then outputting to an entry in the second list a total score for that day. My main problem is that this first list actually has 4 other copies of it that output slightly different scores for the day, and the final list has a column for the total score for that day for each input list. I've been doing this through excel for a while now, but automating this process with an input app, a few SP Lists, and a flow would be great. It might be possible to just duplicate the flow if I had something that worked.
Another issue I'm having is that idk how to trigger this flow after all the inputs are done. All the inputs run continuously for 1-2 hours a day before they stop. This might just be possible within a combination of PowerApps and SharePoint, the other two parts of this, but I know flow can most likely do it as it has almost endless possibilities.
Thank you if you decide to help, my brain has been racking this for 2.5 hours with no progress.
I will edit and add, the calculations for score are done in SharePoint automatically with a calc Column, and the app has no problems. I'm much more proficient with those two platforms than I am Automate.

I have made a tutorial video about this. There are different ways you can do this. I have explained two solutions here. Below is the video link. Please watch and comment.

So the example you given
1/1/23 - 30
1/1/23 - 28
1/1/23 - 40
1/2/23 - 20
1/3/23 - 60
1/3/23 - 4
Here you expect the output as
1/1/23 - 40
1/2/23 - 20
1/3/23 - 60
which are the highest among those dates and update into another list?
Thanks

Learn more from my blogThe expected output is
1/1/23 - 120
1/2/23 - 20
1/3/23 - 120
Its the highest value multiplied by the count for that date.
Ah ok and you need to update another list? If that list contains the same date you want to overwrite the existing data too?
Thanks

Learn more from my blogHere is a better idea to what I want.
I have 5 Lists all with a bunch of dates and scores.
I have an Output List I want to view this data in.
I need a new entry in the Output table that comes from a count of Today() in each of the 5 Input lists and reading their output for Today(). Where the output is like I mentioned before; Maximum for Today() * Count of Today().
Assuming all the Lists had the same data as my example, I want to see this in the output List
Date | List 1 | List 2 | List 3 | List 4 | List 5 |
1/1/23 | 120 | 120 | 120 | 120 | 120 |
1/2/23 | 20 | 20 | 20 | 20 | 20 |
1/3/23 | 120 | 120 | 120 | 120 | 120 |
If there is already a date in the Output table, yeah replace data with a new return, But if there isnt, make one. My current idea is to have a button that triggers the flow in my app and just put a warning before it that this button should only be pressed once all the data is processed, so that I can trigger the flow to make a new entry and not have to worry about updates, and just put a failure argument on the button if the table already has an entry for today.
Thanks for your detailed explanation. The trigger yes you could add a button and trigger or create a scheduled trigger and set a time which you think all the updates are done by this time, say for example 3pm every day, it will trigger and read all the 5 list and update the final list based on the todays.
For the rest of the logic I will come up with a solution for this.
Thanks

Another question.
All the lists (List1, List2, ... List5) have same column names?
Date, Score
Thanks

Learn more from my blogYes. Date and Score are a column in every input list
