Dropbox sync with Sharepoint

Hi everyone,

i'm trying to make a working flow that enables Dropbox to sync automatically to a Sharepoint site/map/folder.

I've tried a lot but i can't make it to run. Is there a good soul out there that can help me?

Hi @JGBT,

Can you double check that you used the correct Id field.

You need to use the Id field of the Get file metadata using path action, not the one from Create file 3 action (because that action will be skipped, that id will be empty and probably causes this error).

Happy to help out! 🙂

Hi @JGBT,

I would suggest to use the Name instead of the DisplayName in the File Name field of the Create File actions. That name includes the file extension which would be required for the file creation.

Below is an example

Hi @JGBT,

Apologies, that create file only works for new files. In that case you also need to add an update file and an action to retrieve the details of the existing file. I would use a configure run after setting to only run the create file when the file is notfound (has failed status).

Below is an example of that approach.

You could also add a condition to check the notfound message. That would be even better 😁

1. The different actions

2. The configure run after settings of the last two actions

Hi @JGBT,

It does not look like you configured the run after correctly. In the flow run the arrow is still black and not dotted red (which it should be if you changed the configure run after setting).

Btw, make sure you implement the same approach (create file/update file) in the apply to each 2 as well.

1. Your flow run with a black arrow

2. My flow run with a red dotted arrow
