Dynamic Content

Hi, 

I have previously created simply flows and I am trying to create similar flows for new approval processes but running into an issue with my condition of the approval.

My flow is triggered by the completion of a 365 form, which requires approval and dependent on the outcome of that approval will send an email to the submitter of the form. However, when I am creating the condition the dynamic content doesn't give the option of "outcome" or "response" .

Any ideas on how to bring this up? Thanks

Hi there.  Sometimes, it won't list all of the options.  If you type "outcome" in that search box (Search Dynamic Content), does it show then?  If it does, then I think if you scroll to the bottom of that section, there might be a "Show more" link or something similar.

I've tried typing them in and selecting see more and none of the options appear.  I'll check through each step of my flow in case there's something wrong. Thanks for your help.

What approval action are you using?

Start and wait for an approval?

or using Start an Approval? If you’re using this option you have to add wait for an approval as well

I used start and wait approval and selected the approval type as Approve/Reject - First to Respond.

Please see my flow below, my condition was to be if the outcome contains Approve I would email the form to the next party to record and update the requestor. However, neither outcome or response have came up in the dynamic content. Thanks

Hi @caitlin3096 

Can you try this:

Add a 'Compose' action after your approval.

Inside the 'Compose' right click and paste this in the inputs field:

@outputs('Start_and_wait_for_an_approval_-_Head_of_Service_Approval')?['body/outcome']

 The inputs should look like this after pasting the code above:

Now inside your 'Condition' reference the 'Compose' action for the left side:
