Embedded pictures in mail flow

Hi,

I have two flows, sending mail with attachments from a shared mailbox to sharepoint. A List for mails and a library for attachments. They work perfect. The only problem is the embedded pictures in the mails. They do not show in the mail in the sharepoint list. The only referece I get to an embedded picture (Screenshot or the like) looks like this:

Does anybody have a solution to this? Since we are using the register in sharepoint to document correspondance, we need the embedded pictures to show.

Hi Anne,

Here is the sample flow for you.

In this example, I have embedded the site logo of SharePoint site in an email.

Firstly, get the content of the file using an action. Here I have used "Get file content by path" action to get the site logo file:

Next, we will extract the content of the file using an expression in the compose action. Expression needs to be added in the expression box as shown below:

outputs('Get_file_content_using_path')?['body']['$content']

Finally, embed the image in the email body using img html tag. Click on 'Code View' button to enter the html code in email body:

Now, add the html code in the body to embed the image or site logo:

<img src="data&colon;image/png;base64,@{outputs('Compose')}" alt="site logo image">

pls modify the alt text as per the need.

Output email generated by the flow will look like:

Thank you for your reply. Can kindly I ask you to guide me through the process starting here "When a new email arrives in a shared mailbox (V2). In the flow the embedded pictures will show as I shown in my original question.

Hi @AnneB1 

Are you adding the email attachments to SharePoint list item? Are you looking for restricting the embed attachments from the email? I don't have any clue about the actions post "Create item" action. I would be of much help if you could pls explain in detail.
