Error: File does not exist within "ConvertWordDocumentoPDF" action of the flow

I am getting an error within the "ConvertWordDocumentoPDF" action of the flow. This flow was copied (save as then turned on) from another flow. Creating a new flow does not do the trick. The word doc part of the flow works and is shown within Sharepoint but fails at the pdf part. Also, I am unable to click on "Standard Submissions" within the Sharepoint drop down to locate the folder. Don't know why. How can I fix the pdf part of the flow? Thank you

Hi @Anonymous,

Please use the dynamic content Name instead of expression into the File field:

@v-litu-msft

The flow is still not running correctly at the PDF stage. Also, the flow only works when being tested within power automate.

When being tested through power apps it's not worked due to invalid parameters being populated. I don't understand why the parameters are being invalid as they have been correct in other flows and I have triple checked to make sure each parameter matches with what the flow is asking for. When I put, "", for one parameter to see if the flow will run, the error is then given to another parameter. I don't get it. My parameters match with what power automate is asking for to match. What could be a possibility?

Hi @Anonymous,

The File field should contain the full path:

@v-litu-msft  Flow works like this. Not sure what "Name" does differently?

What made it work was changing matching the expression within "Create File" and "Convert word doc to PDF"

formatDateTime(utcNow(),'MMddyy')

Within "Create File 2" I added the "hhmmss" to get a better time stamp.
formatDateTime(utcNow(),'MMddyy_hhmmss')

 I was wondering if it's possible to match up a column within another Sharepoint list to the Sharepoint folder that this flow is running the word docs and pdfs too? So I can further identify which docs and pdfs match alongside the from submission within powerapps

Hi @Anonymous,

If the name has been edit in the First step, there is no need to rename it again in the Convert step, plus you add hhmmss into the filename, the two file names will not match cause the second difference,  use the Name could make less mistake.

About the last requirement, it seems possible, could you give more details about it?

@v-litu-msft coo 1.pngcoo 3.png I have a Sharepoint list that collects all the data submitted through Powerapps. Additionally, I have a separate folder where the converted word docs to pdfs (which includes the Sharepoint list data) in a separate folder. I would like to have "Design Number" as the unique identifier between both list and folder so that I can cross reference. Is that possible? Or even, attaching the pdf to a column within the sharepoint list so that I can get rid of the folder.

Hi @Anonymous,

Yes, it is possible, you could consider creating a lookup field, there is a document about it, hope it can help you:

I have the EXACT same issue.

The flow gave me an error of file not exist, but when I check the PATH of my create file and pdf convert, they are the exact same... the path is also good.

Also tried like you to put a waiting time, ofc it change nothing. Dont really understand what I've done badly.

Tried to put the file path in raw text, without any variable, same result. Can Power Automate dont have the right to right or open a file in a sharepoint website ?...

For me this problem was solved by deleting and readding the connection. The connection stopped working because multi factor authentication was added to the account.

It solution work.
