Hi @Gurinder_P_SIng ,

in the length function, you should select output of Filter array action. Now you are using output of List rows in Excel that's definitely not empty.

length(body('Filter_array'))

Besides, in the Update event action, start time and end time should be:

items('Apply_to_each')?['Start Datetime']
items('Apply_to_each')?['End Datetime']

both are dynamic content from a row of Excel table.

Hi @Gurinder_P_SIng ,

Please post a new case for the two requirements. It's another topic. I cannot find a simple way to achieve them in current flow, maybe other users could help.

Hi @Gurinder_P_SIng ,

The error is due to the Get event action, it seems you have wrong event ID set in Item Id. Could you please share the settings in this action in edit mode? If you only know subjects of the event, you may need to use Get events action and filter query to get the specific event.

Hi @Gurinder_P_SIng ,

It seems you have lost parenthesis of the length function to include the outputs of Get event action.

length(outputs(...))

Hi @v-jefferni while I was checking I found that the branching condition is not executed.

that is why it did not creating the events in calendar , could you please suggest the solution.

Thanks

Hi @Gurinder_P_SIng ,

The flow went into the true branch so false branch was not executed. In the true branch, I don't think the Apply to each 2 is needed, please drag apply to each 4 out of it and then delete it. In the Update event action, do not use dynamic contents from the Excel, you need values like expressions below for input parameters:

items('Apply_to_each_4')?['Start Datetime']

Hi @v-jefferni thanks for the reply,

I believe something is wrong. when doing comparisons in Filter array "Subject" from out look Calendar with "subject" in excel that does not exist that means condition is not satisfied it should be running the false condition instead of running true condition.

Gurinder_P_SIng_0-1689133508940.png

it very start the events in excel does not exist in the outlook at very first flow should be just adding the event from excel to outlook and in second run when events moved from excel to outlook then condition is try and then it would be testing the changes in the existing events and then updating the existing events.

so at the very beginning flow should be going into the true loop, correct?

Also @v-jefferni i followed your suggestion, I have made the changes to the true branch but still same no success.

@v-jefferni I mean it should not be running through the true branch as at the begging there is no event is added in outlook , that means this condition is false

Gurinder_P_SIng_0-1689135932295.png

and flow should be entering in false branch but its going in true.

@v-jefferni I have followed this approach

1) You retrieve the list of things from Excel

2) You get the list of Events from Outlook

3) You loop through each of the rows in Excel

        a) Filter the array retrieved from Outlook by comparing the subject to the subject of the Event

        b) Check to see if the filter returned one or more records.

                >0 - The Event exists.  loop through the array returned by the filter and update each one using the details from the current Excel Row. There should normally be only one

=0 - The Event doesn't Exist. Use the current excel row to create a new Event.

and the following branch should be returning =0 and then pushing for false branch but I am not sure why this condition is returning >0 and pushing for true branch.

Hi @v-jefferni thank you so much its working now.

Whenever I am making any change in excel its getting implemented in outlook.

But I noticed there are two requirements are still are implemented yet.

1. if I am deleting any evening in excel its not getting deleted in outlook.

2. also flow is still missing he login that first it should be checking if the time slot is empty in the outlook only then add the event in outlook from the excel otherwise ignore it.

Best Regards,

Gurinder
