Flow building issues with Control/Condition decision steps

Hello,

I'm having difficulty with using an existing "send email notification when a sharepoint item is created" 

Attempts to modify this by adding a control condition are successful with generating an email for 1 condition.

Using/adding a second condition in the same condition box for "and" interrupts the flow, noting the check boxes DO NOT stay checked after saving, leaving, and returning to verify they are checked in flow editor.  

Adding a 2nd condition control to the "YES" flow from the first condition control does not work.  

I desire:

1) send email notification when a sharepoint list item is created

2a)  Control Condition from dynamic value category [employer]  [equals]  with free text [ABC roofing] 

2b)  Control condition "and"  from dynamic value category [Event type]  [ contains]  with free text "high"  

3) when both conditions are met, and email is generated

4)  Generate and Email (V2)  

4a)  I was able to convert an HTML and insert other list categories into the desired email w/ ease...   

Just having issues on steps 2a and 2b, and attempts to build 2 control conditions individually under "YES" to control 1 did not work.  Attempts to use "switch" controls with both criteria do not work either.    I also do not get any flow checker errors.

Hi there.  Since you really aren't doing anything if it doesn't meet those criteria, you might consider adding an OData filter to the trigger. Here's a quick video:

The ODATA coding/tech is fairly cool to watch and use, but it didn't serve well in my flow because I 

1) didn't have/use a manual trigger

2)  using the ODATA language created limitations for accessing the dynamic content options/fields from my SP list as part of the condition/decision in the flow.
