Flow error

Hello - 

I currently have a flow triggered by >

"When a new response is submitted" with the next dynamic content trigger being "list of responses" ... I can no longer find that choice (list of responses). However, response ID choice is defined in the same way but does not provide the same result... (i.e., the flow doesn't work). Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I can't tell without a screenshot, but I have noticed a difference from what people post on this forum.

It seems like when some people use "When a new response is submitted" they end up with a "List of Responses" and the flow requires an "Apply to Each" when using the values. The Apply to Each is only dealing with the single response, but the name is "List of Responses" as if it is multiple.

Anyways, I have never seen that in my Power Automate. There has never been a "List of Responses" option for me. I have always used "When a new response is submitted" and then followed by a step "Get response details". The step "Get response details" uses the dynamic content "Response Id" from the initial trigger. 

Then other steps in the flow use the "Get response details" as a source of values for anything from the form submission. There is no need for an Apply to Each.

Does this look familiar to you?

I would suggest creating a blank flow then adding the trigger manually. This should give you the option to choose When a new response is submitted. When you use certain templates (depending on the template) it can use the same trigger but set to allow batching of responses (Split on features) which is why you sometimes see differences.

So, when you create your flow, choose to skip and start from blank, and you should see something similar to the following.

You can then add an action and should see Get response details.

Interesting, I've never used a template. I didn't know it would make a difference like that. Good info!

Yes, it does. That was how I tried to build the current form. This is the trigger error I received.

Thought I'd reply to this where I can because it was killing me!

Remove the 'apply to each'. Seems like this isn't needed anymore and so "list of responses" is no longer an option.

It just needs to look like this (in my example, I'm adding a row to a table):

I have no idea if that's helpful or not, because I'm just working it out as I go!
