Flow running on specific dates

Good day,

for past few days I have been trying to create 2 separate flows, which would run only on specific specific dates.

I have tried using condition, apply to each, recurrence, etc.... but nothing seems to work properly as intended.

My general idea was it to start when the date came to be, start an approval and upon accepting the approval to send an email to certain recipients.

Here are the dates on which I wanted it to run: 10.4., 13.5., 11.6., 10.7., 9.8., 10.9., 9.10., 12.11., 10.12. and 19.4., 17.5., 18.6., 18.7., 16.8., 17.9., 18.10., 19.11., 17.12. 

I have read through many topics and tried building it with ChatGPT, but nothing seems to work properly so far.
The latest idea was to add trigger conditions to the recurrence action (set to run daily at 9AM), but that only worked once (which is kind of weird..)

I have used these expressions for testing: @Or(equals(utcNow('MM-dd-yyyy'), string('08-04-2024')), equals(utcNow('MM-dd-yyyy'), string('09-04-2024'))) but it doesn't seem to work! Can anyone help?

Could you please share more details about your scenario? For the ultimate purpose, is there any pattern to these dates so that we can work out a common condition to recognize them?

Hi @MSunal !

The trigger oData filter will work inddeed though regarding your need here, I would rather suggest you to place a daily reccurence and then add a condition : 

The pros of this chice is to be able to edit and to add or remove some dates quickly.
The con of this choice is that your flow will indeed trigger daily so you will have a daily success flow history

Hi,
basically I have to send an email about data updates. We have fixed dates for when the data will be finalised, and then we have to notify other teams of this. 
It happens twice a month, hence the two separate flows (each one will have different text)

I just need it to check if the date is right, then ask for approval and upon approval to send those emails.

Instead of creating 2 flows to manage 2 different texts, you could use a switch or condition.

Regarding the date check, the condition I published above should do the trick for you.

However, I found out the condition has to be OR, not AND. But it works properly so all is good 🙂
