Flow to export completed time from planner and to update coressponding task's completed time in excel file

I want to create a flow to  export completed time from planner and to update corresponding task's completed time in excel file once a task from planner is completed. How do we do it? I can easily put trigger "When task is completed". But how to do next step? how to export completed time from planner and to update the task's completion time in excel file?

Hi @k7524000

Based on your description, I have made a simple test for your reference:

vpeijunzmsft_1-1684378254028.png

Result:

When task1 is completed in planner:

vpeijunzmsft_2-1684378313256.png

The flow ran successfully:

vpeijunzmsft_3-1684378336329.png

At the same time, the completion time is updated to the corresponding task in excel:

Thank you, Sylvia.

When I try your approach,

The flow " List rows present in a table" shows error(syntax error at position 12).

Can you figure out the solution?

Thank you.

Hi @k7524000

In the Filter Query of "List rows present a table" action, it should fill in the formula.

In the example I have a column named Task and it has the corresponding task name in Teams planner.

So, I used the Task (excel column name) eq (equals to) 'Title' (the tile of the task in Teams planner) to filter the condition. Then I could get the corresponding task that has been completed and update its completion time to excel table.

Hope it is clear.

Best regards,

Sylvia

Hi, Sylvia

Can you please show me how to enter the "eq" formula in Filter Query?

What formula do I need to use? and How?

For me, the Task in excel is Project Name(excel column name).

So I enter as follows, but same error.

Thank you so much.

Hi @k7524000

Please add two single quotes beside the dynamic content of Title.

I have attached previous example attached:

vpeijunzmsft_0-1685516127824.png

You could use ProjectName instead of Task.

Best regards,

Sylvia

Hi Sylvia,

Yes I did as shown above.

In the Filter Query, I entered, "Project Name eq Title(dynamic input)".

But still same error.

Any mistake?

When checking after test,

I can see that Filter query shows just "Project Name eq Buffalo Solar".

It seems this formula is not working.

Buffalo Solar is actual project name after the task is completed.

I think Project Name should be actual project name.

And in the Table, I just manually enter "Table1". Is that correct?
