Flow to extract date from Automated Email

Hi all, thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

I've checked out a dozen threads regarding this subject, but cannot find a universal way that makes sense to do what I'm after.

I have the following example text from a regular email received -

Dear xxxx,

A change has been made to your duty on Wednesday 24th July 2024.
You were scheduled to work Rest Day and you will now work Annual Leave.

The following attendance is assigned: Annual leave.

The text in red are the variables that will be different on every email. My primary goal is to extract the date written in Day, Day of month, Month and year - create an event in Outlook calendar and then place the entire body of the original email into that event.

Ideally in the future, It would be great to append a category depending on the variable (instead of Annual leave, it could be Training) etc.

I did this test

I used get emails (outlook 365) action  to get the email, but you can adapt it to your needs

 

Detail flow:

 

formatDateTime(trim(split(split(outputs('Html_a_texto')?['body'],' your duty on')[1],'.')[0]),'yyyy-MM-dd')

  

 

outputs('Obtener_correos_electrónicos_(V3)')?['body/value'][0]['subject']

formatDateTime(concat(outputs('Date'),'T10:00:00'))

formatDateTime(concat(outputs('Date'), 'T11:00:00'))

I assumed the start time was 10:00 and the end time was 11:00, however you can customize it

Hey. Thank you for your help 🙂 I'm still learning, but have tried to re-create the above flow and I believe I'm stuck near the end, though the rest could be wrong!

It seems to detect an error in the compose action, can you share it please?

and the error in the create event action, i can see it, maybe you could attach the image in your reply
