Flow won't trigger when an item is modified.

Hello all, 

I am working on a flow and I can't get my conditions right. I have been working on this for two days now, I've researched everything I can find and everything I find tells me that these should work. All I am doing so far is creating a simple flow that changes the flow status in my list once it's triggered. The flow is dependent on two conditions though; the 'Assigned To' column cannot be empty, and the 'Assignment Flow Status' must be set to 'Waiting'. I have made sure that they are listed in the correct order and I have tried them a few different ways. @not(equals(triggerBody()?['AssignedTo']?['Value'], null)) is another way I've tried the top one. I also tried it using '' instead of null. Nothing seems to get it to trigger though. Does anyone have any ideas?

Try the following conditions.

@empty(triggerOutputs()?['body/AssignedTo'])

@equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/AssignmentFlowStatus/Value'], 'Waiting')

If these don't work, then I'd confirm your internal column names are correct.

I also noticed that you have Split On turned off which means the trigger will run on batches of files being updated. I'd suggest turning on Split On and see if that helps. This will ensure the trigger will run for each file individually.

Well, for the Assignee field, try this:

@not(empty(triggerOutputs()?['body/AssignedTo/Email']))

Hot Tip: I find that instead of trying to figure it out myself, I just go create a compose and point it at the dynamic content I want to evaluate. Then I copy paste that. I let Microsoft give me the code it wants so I don't have to think about it. It also tells me that it wants the internal name automatically, which I like, because sometimes I have dumbly named columns.

The second trigger, I used this with success: 

@equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/Status/Value'],'Complete')

I tested with the combination of triggers (neither filled in, one filled in, both filled in) and it only triggered when both were as they should be.

Thank you both! I normally use the filter array but in my case every time I tried to do that it would put it in a for each loop. I have since found out that this is because I had Split On turned off. Bing told me that I needed to shut that off. Lesson learned. Thanks again!
