Get Files (Properties only) does not return files - only folders

I have seen a similar problem under https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/Sharepoint-Get-files-properties-only-connector-wi... but this did not solve my issue.

When running the Get Files (Properties Only) task, it will return folder data absolutely fine, but no file data.

I have checked the json output, and there are no instances of "{IsFolder}" = False. I have also checked that the Get File Content task works correctly - it does return the file contents.

Clearly I am able to view / read the files, so why is Get Files (Properties Only) not listing them?

I had the same issue. I figured out that the culprit was in fact the advanced property called "Top count". According to documentation it retrieves everything if no value but I found out that my results were always limited to 100. Maybe this is because I was using this in test (?). Anyway I've put a much larger value (5000 f.i.) and then I got files back. It appears that the 100 first results were just all folders in my case.

I think the document could certainly be improved...

@ScottShearer

It's super simple - literally just Get files (properties only) right now

@Anonymous

Inside of the for each loop, I have no issue accessing file properties via Dynamic properties.

@ScottShearer

The issue is with the output from the get files task - I can access the properties as well, but the JSON output from the task only contains folders (items where IsFolder = true), despite there being many files in the folders.

I've also tested this with a different library and a team members account and have the same issue.

@Anonymous

If I understand you correctly, you say that you are receiving folder properties but not file props.  I don't have that issue.

@ScottShearer the properties are fine, it's as if the task simply isn't seeing any files and is only seeing folders.

If I try get content for a single file using the get file contents task, it works fine, so I'm struggling to see why the get files task won't work.

@Anonymous

Hard to understand why that would be happening unless it is a permissions issue.  Does the connection that you are using for the Get files (properties only) action have permission to see the files?

I've had my account on sharepoint elevated to the "full control" level. The flow is using my account as the connection authenticator, yet I still can't see files.

This is a Sharepoint backend to an MS teams team and the files have been added via teams.

I've also just noticed that if I try and use the "When a file is created in a folder" trigger for Sharepoint, this doesn't fire either. It's as though flow cannot see these files for some reason.

I also have the same Issue. My requirement is to delete the files from Office 365 Sharepoint library  which are older than 3 days. I am able to delete files from one folder through MS flow but If I use the same MS Flow for another library It does not work. It does not list the file in Get File(Property Only) activity. I checked the response of the activity and there is no file listed there. However there is no error in flow and It get success without any error. Also , Permission level is also same for the both the folder and It has edit permission for both the library

@maheshdadhich I have the same issue as you did. Any possible solution can solve the problem now?

Same issue... Sharepoint site was too full. I started a new sharepoint site and get files (properties only) and get file contents worked as expected.

Hi,

Please Select include nested items Field No of Get files (properties only) Action. After this I guess you are good to go. Because If You Have Too Many Files in Your Document Library So include nested items not working here.

THIS SOLVED THE ISSUE! Never knew about the default limit of 100 files. This issue was melting my brain. Thank you so much!!
