Get certain rows in excel and send email

Spoiler

Hello, I want to retrieve certain rows from excel and then send it in an email. However, I am receiving the following error:
flow_newbie_2-1601882285950.png

This is my flow:

flow_newbie_6-1601882664082.png

flow_newbie_4-1601882395613.png

So I want the flow to search for the number 2 in the 'For notification' column which I had set in the condition as above. I want to set the 'For notification' column as an integer, so I've set it as int('For notification') as above in condition.

Please help! Thank you.

Hi @flow_newbie

Looks like you are not passing a integer value to convert to integer type. Check the values from your run history?

Thanks

Hi @abm, Yes, I tried to convert it in condition with int('For notification'), you may refer to the screenshots above. Please help!

Hi there, have you tried just select the Dynamic Content for the 'For notification' column? That's the column and you're adding an int() expression to a string.

Hi @Anonymous, What do you mean by select Dynamic Content?

Instead of using the int('For notification') expression, click on Dynamic Content and select the "For notification" column.

Hi @Anonymous, It does not work at all with that.

Hi @flow_newbie

Could you please post the int() expression you are using? Also check your run history and open previous step of the IF condition. See what value is returned for the int() expression. Looks like you have a non-numeric value passing here.

Thanks

Hi @abm,

The int() expression that I am using is int('For notification'):

flow_newbie_1-1601975639729.png

My step before condition is list rows present in a table:

flow_newbie_0-1601975634293.png

I have tried initializing 'For notification' as a variable but it does not seem to work.

Please help!

Hi @flow_newbie

You need to do the following.

Remove the current expression int().

Next click the expression type int()

Place the cursor inside the two brackets of the int() function.

Click dynamic content

Select the 'For notification' dynamic field.

Select OK

Thanks

Hi @abm, The 'For notification' does not seem to be showing in the dynamic field, but there is a column 'For notification' in my file and the cells are indeed integers only, or is there anything that I should amend in my source file?

Hi @abm,

It works now! I have included the following int(items('('Apply_to_each')?['For notification'])). However, I am receiving multiple emails for each row, what should I do if I want all the rows to be shown in one email?

You can Initialize the Count as a Integer before setting it with:

int(outputs('List_rows_present_in_a_table')?['Count'])

Hi @flow_newbie

Looks like you have a variable type as an array and you trying to convert this into HTML table. You need to use a select action step, map the values and finally convert the html table using the output of select action step. Please see below.

Hi @flow_newbie

Extend the odata query under the get items (Excel).  Remove the apply to each loop. Next add the select action step to get the values as an array. Finally using the array you can create the HTML table.

Thanks
