Get text from notepad file

I cant find a connector for notepad, is that correct?

What i want is to get a text from notepad copy into a email.

How were you looking to trigger your flow? You can use the Get file content to extract out the data from your Text file.

Yes i will get the trigger 'when file is modified' 

And then get the text from that file from example the second row

When an item or a file is modified will trigger when you update your text file.

Get file content uses the Identifier from the trigger to get the content.

Compose uses the following expression to split the data by carriage return and new line, then retrieve the item at index 1 (the second item since the indexes start at 0 for the first item in an array).

//Split the content by carriage return and new line, then get the second row

split(outputs('Get_file_content')?['body'], decodeUriComponent('%0D%0A'))[1]

You can then use the output from the Compose in your Send an email.

Now it takes one row from the txt file.

How to change wen i will get more rows like row 1 till row 5

If you wanted to include all rows starting from the second row (skip the first row) you can use the following expression. Note that it also joins each item with a break <br> element so the items show on a new line in the email.

join(skip(split(outputs('Get_file_content')?['body'], decodeUriComponent('%0D%0A')), 1), '<br>')

If you wanted to include rows 1 through to 4 you can use the following expression that uses take to specify how many rows you want.

join(take(split(outputs('Get_file_content')?['body'], decodeUriComponent('%0D%0A')), 4), '<br>')

If you wanted to include rows 2 through to 4 you can use the following expression. This will skip the first row, then take the next three rows.

join(take(skip(split(outputs('Get_file_content')?['body'], decodeUriComponent('%0D%0A')), 1), 3), '<br>')
