Help with Onedrive approval triggers

I've created a flow that starts an approval process when a file is added to a shared one drive folder and sub folders. The problem is multiple files are usually added to the subfolders (invoice, supporting documents etc) triggering multiple approvals when there should only be one approval trigger for that subfolder once all the required documents are uploaded.

Is there a way to set the approval to trigger when the subfolder is initially created or when all files have been added to the subfolder?

@FlowUserwithQs  shure but you need to define the exactly folder, so you are going to need a flow per subfolder created.

As the ms personal says you need to monitor every subfolder.

this doesn't quite solve my problem. I'm able to drop files in any sub folder and receive a email alert but for example I don't want to receive two emails when two files are placed in the same subfolder.

I need the trigger to happen only after all files have been added to the subfolder

@FlowUserwithQs  I know but unforntunally there are no way to know when the users add the last file into a subfolder.

Okay, alternative question then.

I've managed to create a share link that opens the actual file that triggered the request. Is there a way to add a link to the subfolder that the file was placed in?

@ChristianAbata For example, I'd like to add a step prior to approving the file, the step would be to send an email with options to verify that all necessary documents have been placed in the created subfolder with a link to the subfolder.

Parent Folder/Subfolder/File

I'm trying to provide a sharelink to the Subfolder so the approver can view all the supporting documents. Rather than a single file.

oh @FlowUserwithQs  to do that you can use the propertie calle path. So when you create a folder then next you are able to get the path.

Selecting Path as the dynamic content in create a link step gives me an invalid link error. It works when I select File ID, but again that only links to the actual file and not the folder

Hi @FlowUserwithQs,

#1, Unfortunately, there is no way could send just one Email when multiple files created in an OneDrive folder.

#2, And grant to access an OneDirve folder is not supported in Power Automate yet, there already have a similar idea create in IDEA forum, you could head to vote it to make it come true in the future:

As a workaround, you could store these sharing links into an Excel table once a file created in an OneDrive folder, then send the Excel to the user, after sending, empty the Excel file.
