I need to update the 'CREATED BY' field to match another column 'Requestor' (I created)

I have the view settings in my list to only allow users to see submissions they created. When first setting up the list my team loaded most of the submissions we had manually received. So the CREATE BY is not actually who submitted the item. I need the CREATED BY field to match what ever value is entered in the REQUESTOR field when submitted. I am new to power automate and I need some help on this. I have added pictures of the List and columns. IF POSSIBLE I would like for any one in the CREATED BY field, REQUESTOR field, and the KEYSTAKEHOLDERS field to be able to view the item. I am not sure how to create this view.

This post from @FraserM demonstrates how to change the Created by field: Update the Created By (AuthorID) Field of a ShareP... - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com). I have tried it and it works.

I did try to use that as a reference. What type of flow do I start with? Would it be a Trigger flow? And if so what would be the trigger? When an item is created in my list??

From what you want to do a button flow seems like it would make the most sense as this would be a one-time update. That is how I used it, which was a similar use case to yours.

I am trying to build it now. I have it as a instant flow. Do I then follow the example you have tagged? I am a little confused on what goes where. I am going to try to work through

Can you share the flow and how it looks? I am on step two with the email address and my dyanamic content does not pull anything from my sharepoint

Attached is a description of my flow.

As you can see, I had trouble posting this in the forums. I will try again when I have some time.

That post was helpful . I have all of the actions built out. But the beginning is what I am having an issue with and the Number . Here is what the beginning looks like.

 Beginning of flow .png

As you can see I have the manual trigger. but then my get item is pulling the ID from the trigger and this is not correct. I think once I get this part correct I can figure out the rest.

Thank you I am going to try this. I see where I missed a few things

I am also not sure what to put in for the number . My form is pretty big so for number and email. What would that go along with ?

I don't really know what you are doing as neither the PDF I uploaded of my flow nor the link to a solution I provided contain an apply to each action. However, based on your screen shot, you are trying to use geo coordinates for the item ID. That definitely will not work.

In the PDF I uploaded previously; it explains that you need to add an integer prompt to the trigger condition. When you run the flow, it will prompt you to enter a value, which would be the ID number of the item in your SharePoint list that you want to update.

This documentation from Microsoft explains what the latitude and longitude values are from manually triggered flows: Introduction to button trigger tokens - Power Automate | Microsoft Learn so you can understand why that cannot be used as it has no relationship to the item you want to update.

I fixed the issue. All is working now. I am not trying to figure out what to put in for the email and the ID. I have included the beginning I need to fill in with the email and the right Number that correlates with the right column. How do I go about finding the right number? How can I find what number the "Created BY" field is for my list?
I want the input from the "email column" to show in the "created by column"

I was able to get the trigger inputs filled. not sure if theyre correct. I now know the ID # for each row in my list. I used email as another input and used the email for the Created By person who put in all the items.

Now I am getting an error on the Update Created By Field step. I get an error --

Do you have owner permissions on the SharePoint site where you are trying to do this?

Yes I am the owner
