Hi all, hoping to get some help with an issue.
I have a flow that is triggered by a new response to a Microsoft Quiz for it to create a list item in SharePoint, then it collects that item, then sends an email to the individual who completed the quiz and their manager with their score (using calculated columns in SharePoint) and their answers to each question.
We are wanting to indicate if the answer they have selected is correct or incorrect. On the SharePoint list I have created some calculated columns for each corresponding question (so question 1 has an answer column called 'A1') and these all contain a value set to be 1 if the answer is correct, and 0 if the answer is incorrect, providing them with points for each question. These columns are hidden on the SharePoint list.
I wanted to set an expression in the email response advising if the answer is correct or incorrect, using the value from the calculated column. What I have so far is:
if(equals(outputs('Get_item')?['A1'], 1), 'Correct', 'Incorrect')
Unfortunately this only displays the incorrect result in the email even though it was correct and the number 1 displayed in the A1 column. I know for sure that these columns are still calculating while hidden because the score is calculated from those fields. I have also tried the same expression trying IF(AND( and the flow failed, and I tried using integer as well.
Can anyone assist?

This seems to be because the field coming from your "outputs('Get_item')?['A1']" is a string, where it needs to be an integer value. Try wrapping it inside an "int()" expression - hopefully this should do the trick:
if(equals(int(outputs('Get_item')?['A1']), 1), 'Correct', 'Incorrect')

I’ve left work now so I’ll give it a go tomorrow but I did try using int in that spot but either it did the same thing or the flow failed (I forgot which since I tried a few different ones).

You only need to use a compose action to troubleshoot.
Firstly ,use this expression on 'compose' action and run this flow to check outputs of your compose action.
outputs('Get_item')?['A1']
Could you provide the output of this expression?

@v-xiaochen-msft How do I provide the output - sorry, I'm quite new to using compose. I popped in a compose action and ran the flow, but when I selected "Download outputs" it just goes to a blank web-page.

This means that the output of your expression (outputs('Get_item')?['A1']) is null.
In fact, sharepoint calculated column have problems/bugs in flow or canvas sometimes.
If you use powerapps/powerautomate, calculated column is not a good choice.
If the column has a value in Sharepoint but it does't have a value in flow , it might be a bug I think.
