Image in adaptive card for MS Teams not displaying

Hello,

I have created an adaptive card for a post to MS Teams. Everything works except the image does not display. All it shows is undefined where the picture should be. The image is well within the 1024x1024 and 1mb size (.png). This image is hosted in a folder in SharePoint

Also, the image displays fine on the web. I'm assuming this is an issue with credentials. So then I guess my question would be then what is the best course of action/ solution and how to perform that solution?

I have exactly the same issue. My images have permissions set for everyone. 

On the Teams desktop app the images do not display.

On the teams web app everything works fine.

I think I was reading something where its the way the desktop application authenticates or something. Not sure why. They both have the same access.

@ShadowTech  @Anonymous  you could try by uploading the same image into a public service like imgur or google, I try and in both places the public image is displayed.

I don't think it fixes this issue. We have images that must stay in local SP library. I created bug report and hopefully it will be fixed.

Instead of using the image URL, try adding the thumbnail URL property (small, medium, large) of the

file  to your adaptive card.

Thumbnails are generated outside of your tenant and the URL provides an access token, so that you can display the thumbnail in your Team desktop app.

yes this method works fine but the thumbnails expire very quickly, i am unable to display an image of my sharepoint on an adaptive card.
Has anyone happened to do it?

Does anyone reached the stage where adding an image got solved by MSFT? I am falling again to the same issue where adding an image becomes a no possibility. Has it been ever resolved putting the issues in a straightforward manner?

I am wondering if you found a solution to this issue. The images only showing on the web but not in the desktop app is the precise issue I am dealing with. The image source is in a SharePoint List.

I found the solution after giving it some thought.

Instead if image url, I did sent data URI for that Image.

1. Goto https://ezgif.com/image-to-datauri

2. Upload your image and click on convert

3. You will get something like <img src="data:XXXXXX..etc" />

4. Copy the content side src tag --> this part --> (data:XXXX...)
5. Now in the payload/JSON send this instead of image url

this will only work if the uri data is small because there's a limit on the size of payload that power automate can handle (28kb)

what i'm having problem is that in the desktop app the image shows correctly but on the cellphone app the image is broken and instead of even showing the alt text it shows a broken image symbol

I've just added a button and action.openURL with the URL link at the bottom of the image and left it i don't know if the problem was my account or cellphone as i was using a new channel to make the tests and trying. i tried to change the location of the file but did not work. and it's only in the phone app the issue.
