In Send an email multiple columns with dates are integers

I am using List rows present in a table and Send an email within Apply to each to go through the list and email each employee there corresponding info (Thank you @tom_riha for the assist on that).

Now the issue is there are multiple date columns that come across as integers in the email. The columns are not an available option when trying to convert using an expression with in the Send an email. The actual data contains up to 10 date columns. How and where in the flow do I convert all the dates to be available and appear correctly in the emails?

Hello @clofgren34 ,

Excel provides dates to Power Automate as a sequence number starting from 1.1.1900, so to get the date from excel you must add the number you get to 1.1.1900 using the addDays(...) expression. That should give you the date in readable format.

e.g. addDays('01/01/1900',[DateFromExcel],'dd/MM/yyyy')

Note:
[DateFromExcel] is the dynamic content with the date from Excel
..and maybe you'll need to convert the date into integer in the expression: int([DateFromExcel])

Thanks for the response @tom_riha 

I have used that before (correct, you do need to convert to integer) in Get rows and when tried here my columns are not available to use within the expression to convert. In my screen shots you can see I can select my date columns (Occ 1 and Occ 2) to place within email but result in the string format of the date from excel displayed. These columns are unavailable as an option to use in the expression to display as mm-dd-yyyy.

if it's just a two columns I'd add 2x 'Compose' action before the 'Send an email' inside the 'Apply to each', and store the dates into the compose actions. Then use the output from the 'Compose' actions in the expressions, it'll contain the number and it'll be available in the dynamic content selection.

Thanks @tom_riha. I'll try that. Its actually 10 columns, but my example for test only using two. I'll update after my test of this.

If it's 10 column then I'd use a different approach and I'd enter the dynamic content manually into the expression using copy/paste and a text editor:

• Copy the dynamic content into a text editor, you'll get e.g. @{items('Apply_to_each_2')?['Date']}

• Remove the @{ and }, you'll get a string representing the dynamic content, e.g. items('Apply_to_each_2')?['Date']
• Use the string in an expression, e.g. formatDateTime(items('Apply_to_each_2')?['Date'],'yyyy-MM-dd')
