Inserting Date column for data retrieved from Web UI

Hi Community,

I have a new problem for you.

I have created a Web UI flow to change data on a webpage and generate table. I wish to input data entries from a Excel table located in local drive. Then copy the data generated on webpage to a new local Excel file. The twist here is that data extracted on webpage does not contain the Date Column and that's very much required. Hence, The output excel table to contain a new date column at left end, which contains date that is same as we used for extracting the data.

hi @Anonymous if don't care meaby I could sugest you to use this expression to get the currect date

formatDateTime(utcNow(),'yyyy-MM-dd')

Hi @ChristianAbata,

We need the date from the input excel table, which we use for extracting data from website and further the same date to be put in the left most column as Date column.

We do not want to use today's date in the date column.

I am pretty new to the automate community. I went through a lot of video tutorials but did not got the solution to my problem.

Pls tell

1. What are the dynamic variable to be used for state, district, from date and to date according to the website in Web ui flow.
2. How to link the excel file on local drive to be used as inputs for the web UI flow.
3. How to create the loop to make the software read each line of excel for inputting data.
4. How to scrap the data from website as the extracted data table can vary depending on the input provided.

If you can show the process after recording Web UI flow as screenshot or screen record, it will be if immense help.

Choose the following options

1. State Name: Punjab

2. District: Amritsar

3. From Date: 1-Jan-2019

4. To Date: 1-Jan-2019

Then generate report and further copy the table generated to local excel file and insert date column to left with date being 1-Jan-2019.

Then make the automation from the following excel input table present on local drive.
