Is there a way to merge 'Get items' from 2 SharePoint lists?

I have a Power Automate that gets items from 2 SharePoint lists, creates html tables and emails them on a daily basis.  I am having no luck finding a way to either merge the 2 'get items' steps or merging the 2 'create html tables' steps.  I would like both in 1 table.

 

Is there a way to merge the data from 2 separate 'get items'?

I don't think that will help you as you will end up with different column widths again.  Create the table HTML manually.

What condition would you like to merge the tables on?

Not sure I understand, but I should clarify my process

 

1. Get items from SharePoint list

2. Create html table with 3 columns

3. Get items from ANOTHER sp list

4. Create html table with same 3 columns

5. Email both tables

 

The issue I have is the columns don't align in the email, and it looks bad.  I've tried CSS to give the columns width using td last-child, but that doesn't work.  so I thought that if I could merge the 'get items' arrays or the html tables, they would all be in the same table and look nice.  Maybe there is an easier way that what I am thinking.  Thanks!

That means you want to "zip"  the lists rather than merge.  Basically combine them based on the row number.

1. get items from first list

2. get items from second list

3. get row count  (hopefully they are the same!!!)

4. iterate through all rows. Collect the three fields from that row in list1, the three fields from list 2,  and stuff them into your html table row.

5. add table header and footer as needed.

6. send email.

Thank you, but I should have specified lists 1 and lists 2 are different lists with different information,  List 1 could have 3 items, list two can have 33 items, etc.. they vary day to day, but when I email them the columns are not the same width

I know its just formatting, but I would rather merge the items in both lists for 1 table vs 2 tables

I feel like there is an easy way and I am guessing I am not using the best terminology hence not finding a solution...thanks again for your patience!

In this case the terminology would be "append", not "merge"

 

1. get items from first list

2. get items from second list

3. create a new text variable to hold the HTML code for the table rows.

4. iterate through all rows, first from the first list, then from the second list, Stuff into the variable .

5. add table header and footer as needed.

6. send email with table header, variable, table footer.

ok, thanks.  So, can you append output Get Items with another Get Items or append 2 Create HTML actions

I guess like you mentioned, I could manually build the table, but I am using create html table actions.

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!    This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
