Link to Item not working now

Hi All - Hope someone can help me.  I have been using the Link to Item within my flow and it has stopped working. So reverted to entering the URL in with the DispForm and ID in the area for Item Link and this is not working either.  Just will not click on either one of them to take you into the form.   Im not sure what has happened or why it has stopped working in the first place.  Is anyone aware of this happening and how to fix. Ta Cath

Hi @CathMitcherson,

This is a temporary issue, some times it will happen.

As a workaround, you can add the item to link into the Details of the Approval by using markdown syntax instead, for example:Annotation 2019-10-02 173657.png

This article teaches you how to use Markdown syntax to add rich formatting and tables to your approval requests, I hope it can help you:

Hi @CathMitcherson,

I have tested on my side, but not find the same issue with you. What's the mean of item link not work, whether it could not show up in the Approval email or it is not a hyperlink?Annotation 2019-10-01 161819.pngAnnotation 2019-10-01 161655.png

Hi @v-litu-msft

I used the Link to Item and it was working.  Its only been the last couple of days its decided not to work for some reason.  It shows the correct URL to link through to the app (form) for the supervisor to view.  So when the approval goes to the supervisor they have a Link in there which is the Link to Item and then they click through to the app to view what the employee filled out prior to approval.  The URL is showing correctly, it just wont hyperlink through.   As said it has been working and only the past couple of days it has stopped for some reason.  Perhaps I need to investigate a little more to make sure no settings or something have been changed.   Its strange that it is happening to a number of staff now.

Hi @v-litu-msft

We have just been doing a bit of testing and with the approval email you have two areas - the top and then if you click on the original Message under this it brings up the approval area also.  The link circled Yellow works and the one circled red doesnt.  The

Link to Item Top Approval part - Link not working.JPG

The link above its not working however the URL is different to the next pic which maybe is the issue.

Link to Item Bottom Approval - Working.JPG

When clicking on Original Message this area shows.  This link is working.   You see that the URL has a safelink prior to the link which is different to the top URL that is not working.  Im thinking this is a problem with our Safe Links area and something has changed.  I will talk to someone in our IT area to see if this is the case.   Can I ask but, why there are two approval areas one up the top and then if you click on the Original Message another approval area.  Is there something I can click off for this.?

Hi v-litu-msft,
Your solution works like a charm! It has solved my "attachment" issue that was troubling me for a couple of days. Also by changing the [Microsoft Flow] to any other text, like [Click attachment], hepls to guide the Approver.
Thank you 🙂

I have a similar issue.

I am currently building for a approval workflow.
Therefore I started with the trigger: When a file is created in the folder ( outdated)

After that I want to start right away with an approval for that specific file. So I want to add a link of the item into the approval, so that the manager can see what file the approval is about.

Yet the dynamic content is empty. How do I fix this?
