List files in folder - Onedrive

Hello,

When I use the action "List files in folder" from Onedrive (not Onedrive for business) the File identifier is not returned, so I can't delete those files. The Id of the file is returned but the action "Delete file" needs the File identifier not the Id.

Anyone knows how to create a flow that delete files in a folder?

Thank you in advance.

Hello @Robu1,

You send me to the my own post... :-s

Anyone with a valid answer?

Apologies. I have updated the link.

The solution recommends that you disconnect and reconnect one drive.

Done without success.

Ok the one drive connection is ruled out.

Let's try something else (especially step 5-Apply to Each and Delete Files:).

Here are the steps to achieve this:

  1. Trigger the Flow:

    • Start by creating a scheduled recurring flow that runs daily.
    • This flow will be triggered automatically at the specified interval.
  2. Get Past Time:

    • Use the “Get Past Time” action to calculate the time in the past by 7 days.
    • This will give you the reference point for identifying files older than 7 days.
  3. Get Files:

    • Add the “Get Files” action to retrieve the files you want to delete from the specific folder.
    • Specify the folder location within your SharePoint library.
  4. Filter Query:

    • In the “Filter Query” field, use an expression to filter files based on their creation date.
    • For example, you can use the following expression:
      formatDateTime(body('Get_past_time'),'yyyy-MM-dd')
Note: Ensure that you include single quotes around the date format.
  5. Apply to Each and Delete Files:

    • Use the “Apply to Each” loop to iterate through the filtered files.
    • Within the loop, add the “Delete Files” action to delete each file.

Remember to adjust the folder path and other settings according to your specific SharePoint library and requirements. If you encounter any issues, feel free to ask for further assistance!

Hello @Robu1,

As I wrote in the first post, this is happening with the Onedrive connector not with the Onedrive for business. The Onedrive connector is the connection for the Personal Accounts so Sharepoint is not available.

The problem is that the ID returned from the "List files in folder" action is not recognized by the "Delete file" action, getting the error "The file id 'blablabla' is not valid."

Hi @jcsdias ,

A number of factors could prevent deletion of the file:

is the file checked out to another person?

Do have required permissions to perform the Delete action?

Is there any issue with the connector configuration?

This specific error also points to the way you are specifying the file Identifier.

The Delete file action expects a file identifier, not a file path.

Check this out as a more relevant solution to is issue.
