List unable to capture multiple responses

Hello lads,

I'm very close to finishing a flow when i discovered a major flaw in my system. I have to capture data from multiple users through forms, which is then stored in a list to be used further down the flow. The wall I've run into now is that when said form is to be submitted by multiple users, the list gets updated with the data of only the person who submits the form first, and then the flow moves straight onto the next step. Other user's data does not make it to the list. How may I correct this. So far while my flow functions as intended, it only does so for one user. This part of the flow looks like this, it goes' Form Submission -> Get response details -> Create item (here is where my trouble lies, supposed to capture data from all users) -> Feedback email flowflow issue.PNG

The real issue you have is that you need a way to Track and Associate Responses. If multiple people are responding to the same thing, or even separate ones, you cannot (easily) have one flow capture that because, well you cannot.

 

So my questions are:

1. How will you know that responses map to what other specific responses?

--If you know this and its easy then I suggest you do this.

 

A) Have your flow as above, but have it log into SharePoint every time one is submitted. However, in the flow, you also want to check the SharePoint list, each time, to see if the previous responses are there. If they are then you can load them and grab data from all of them and do whatever it is you want to do.

 

But if its not there, then simply log and exit.

 

So you would be using SharePoint to match up all the responses. Now if these responses actually need to go in separate lists, thats fine, you just need to look for the other responses there before you move onto whatever the final steps are.

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!    This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
