MS form data to SP List Person column failing on one person's name

Hi 

I have built a MS Form for Employees to log any customer complaints received. One of the questions allows the user to select which employees (if any) the complaint relates to (there are only 4 employees). More than one employee can be selected. 

I have then built a flow using Power Automate that extracts the data and adds it to a SharePoint list, along with any uploaded attachments. The Employee name(s) are added to a Person column in the List, which has been configured to allow multiple selections. 

All is working well, other than when I select one particular employee on the MS Form and then the flow fails with the following error "The specified user Mark XXXXX could not be found" (name changed to protect identity). If I manually add his name to the SP List, his name is found and added to the field. 

Are you able to help with a workaround to this issue or assist with a different solution. I'm very, very new to Power Automate, so please be gentle with me 😊

Hi @NicBrenTSL ,

So, your flow failed with the error "The specified user ABC (Mark XXXXX) could not be found."

This error occurs when the Input name doesn't matches with the exact Name of the Person that is expected by SharePoint list's person Column.

So,Please Edit the Name of that Employee (Mark XXXXX )in the Microsoft from. The name must be same as the Employee name.

For testing purpose you can replace the name of the person (Mark XXXXX) with its email id in the Microsoft Form multiple selections choice, and then submit the Microsoft form again. The flow run again and give you the result as expected.

Thank you for the tip regarding using Mark's email address on the form, which worked. I will go back to our Administrator and double check Mark's profile name has been correctly entered without any spaces 👍.

Hi! What to do if the input from the submitter was incorrect? Can you make the field not required and how?

Have you checked that field/question on your Form and made sure that it isn't set to a 'Required field'? There is a button underneath each question which you can toggle on/off.
