Manual trigger from a PowerApp to send emails to respective departments depending on columns status / value in a SharePoint list

Hi,

I've been asked to enable emails to be sent to certain departments mailboxes, with specific information, which is stored in a SP list.  Email are triggered when the user selects a button in a PowerApp.

The conditions for the emails to be sent are determined by the Request Status displays the value 'Completed'
And depending on the Request Value column will determine which department or departments get the email with the additional information in the body of the email.

I've used the 'Get Items' filter query to sort the records that match the criteria above.  As the SP list can have multiple values in the 'Request Status' field

I ran a test and it succeed, but no emails were sent????

Hopefully I'm on the right track?????

Hi @ClarkyPA365 

The system field 'Modified' also contains time stamp but as you are comparing it with 00:00 midnight (UTC time) for current date so you are not getting any result. You could below filter query to get the records which are modified today:

Modified ge '@{startOfDay(utcNow())}'

Hi @ManishSolanki 

I made that change to the Expression.  Re ran a Failed flow and this error message appeared

Would it be best to start the process from a fresh new query???

Hi @ClarkyPA365 

The query I shared earlier could be directly copied & pasted in the filter query textbox. But you can also enter it from the expression box as shown below:

startOfDay(utcNow())

Do I not need the additional query filter of Completed??

Yes, pls append the additional filter criteria with 'and' keyword as you did initially.  The filter query which I had suggested was just the replacement of Modified part.

Hi,

Just a quick question.

This 'button' could be pressed a number of time during the same day...  Will this mean that duplicate emails could be sent out as the query will look for any that have 'completed' and the Request type

For example

Completed Change of Hours - Email sent out a few mins later a Completed Change of Manager - email sent would this also send out another email for the Change of Hours.  So a loop will be in affect????
