Matching Form checkboxes with Excel rows

Hi all,

I have a flow that looks like this:

This is triggered by a form submission. Form has a drop-down list of company employees. When someone submits the form, it matches the selected employee with their email in a separate Excel sheet (employee database) and send them an email.

It's working fine with a drop-down. My goal is to enable selecting multiple employees and send them an email.

When I replaced the drop-down with checkboxes, it's now returning an array like ["Employee Name1"],["Employee Name2"]. But the employee database has a list of names and therefore I'm not able to match an array to a string.

My questions are:

1. How do I match a result from checkboxes to a list in an Excel sheet?
2. And how do add those matched emails to an email?

Hi @Anonymous 

Yes, the problem is that the output gives all the selected responses in a string.

 So to used in a condition, you have to remove the extra characters from that string and then split it. 

I use this expression for replace the characters. *you have to change the 'r24aeca27c28e44a09dc8c9ec71873d18', you can see this in the "get response details" outputs.

replace(replace(replace(body('Get_response_details')?['r24aeca27c28e44a09dc8c9ec71873d18'],']',''),'[',''),'"','')

And then this to split the responses.

split(outputs('Remove_characters'),',')

Then I use an "apply to each" with the output of the split.

At what stage can I match the responses to a list of employees in an Excel sheet?

Hi @Anonymous 

Let's say you have this table, with the names and emails.

Here is the form with the names.

You need to add the action "List rows present in a table" select the table that you need to compare with the form responses. 

Then you compare the name and if the name is the same as the one selected in the form, send an email to the email in that same row.
