Microsoft List Checkbox Automation

Hello, I am looking for some help with a Microsoft Lists I recently created.

The Checklist will be used to check off tasks throughout the day. Is there a way to automatically reset the checkboxes to unchecked each morning.  I used an Y/N column to create the checkboxes. The List is shared onto our SharePoint.

Appreciate any help!

Just checked it, works fine on my site (using grid edit and side menu edit). Could you please share your list/field formatting you are using? Does this error also occur if you edit the item within the side menu? Are there any other changes you made to the list within the settings?

Does this help you? Otherwise please give me some more information.

Best regards
Marvin

Hopefully this will get what you're looking for.

For this example, I'm using the following SharePoint List with a couple of items checked.

grantjenkins_0-1674864417799.png

See full flow below. I'll go into each of the actions.

grantjenkins_1-1674864446374.png

Recurrence is set to run at 5AM daily. You would set the time to your requirements.

grantjenkins_2-1674864477529.png

Get items will retrieve all items that are currently checked (need to be reset). It uses the following Filter Query.

//Checking with 1 means is the Status checked
Status eq 1

grantjenkins_3-1674864601506.png

Apply to each will iterate over each of the items returned from Get items, and Update item will update the items, setting Status to No.

After running the flow, the list would look like this:

Hi @ebauer

please see the following flow:

MarvinBangert_0-1674864589448.png

Recurrence:

MarvinBangert_1-1674864606299.png

- Define when your flow should start

Get items:

MarvinBangert_4-1674864904037.png

- Select your site address and list

- if you like, you can also add a filter query:

<SharePoint internal field name of your Yes/No field> eq '1'

1 = Yes; 0 = No

Using this filter query, you will only get the items that are actually set to "yes" and maybe limit your flow runs a bit (also flow will not give you a warning). You can also leave this query empty, the warning you will see within power automate will not limit the flow run.

Apply to each & Update item:

MarvinBangert_3-1674864870396.png

- The apply to each will be created automatically, when you select the id within the "update item" action

- Select the address and list name

- Select the dynamic value of your item id from the previous sharepoint action

- Set the dynamic value of all required fields (otherwise you will not be able to save and use the flow), other non-required fields can be empty

- Set the status of your Yes/No field to "No"

That's it, your flow will run every morning to the specified time and reset all Yes fields to No.

Does this help you? Otherwise please give me some more information.

Best regards
Marvin

Good Morning, Thank you for the help. That worked but lead to another question. I have this List on my SharePoint site. After resetting the list and I click to reselect the checkbox I get this error. I appreciate your help!
