Multiple Email Attachments from SharePoint Library files

Hi All,

I have a requirement to attach a group of photos (unknown number) stored in a SharePoint Library.

So that this is not started from the beginning, this post on the Power Apps Forum is where I am at the moment, but I have a feeling the answer lies with a Flow.

As noted, I can easily send the URLs/Identifiers to a Flow and well as that of the reference document. I just need the user to select a record and email these.

Hi @WarrenBelz

I am also a bit lost. My humble suggestion:

1.-Mark this topic as "Solved" by clicking "Accept as a solution" whenever you manage to verify it. This way other community members facing your first problem in the future have the chance to find a solution faster. I am assuming your first problem is fixed in theory, but you cannot trigger the flow from your Power Apps to execute it, right?

Flow_AcceptSolution.png

2.- Open a new thread for this new issue, following the policy: 'One Question, one post', please note I am not sure if the best place to ask is Power Automate forum or Power Apps forum. Many SuperUsers pay more attention to unanswered topics, and this one already have too many. Let's hope somebody else can point us to the right direction

3.- (OPTIONAL) Click on 'Thumbs up' in any answer you found valuable on this current thread.

Flow_thumbsUp.png

Even though this 3rd step is OPTIONAL, please remember it is the cheapest, easiest way to say thanks to somebody that simply tried to help  😉

Thanx!

Thanks @efialttes ,

I have come from the Power Apps forum on this post as the solution I thought was in a Flow. I do not know at present whether this Flow will do the job as I cannot run it to text.

I will try tagging  @v-alzhan-msft , who has also been involved to see if Alice has any ideas. If no luck, I post this one on the top of the Power Apps item.

 Hi @WarrenBelz ,

Your flow is finished and the problem now is to send the file path from powerapps to MS flow.

I hope the link below about start a flow in powerApps could help you:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/using-logic-flows

You could add a Button contorl ,with the Button control selected, select Flows on the Action tab, ang send the file path from powerapps to Ms flow.

I suggest that you could ask for help in powerApps forum if you still has problem.

Best regards,

Alice

So, did you get this to work, then?  I have done this, and it looks like I have lots of data, but it tells me I'm missing header data in the email, which I am not missing.

I'm not seeing a problem here.

Hi @martinav and thank you for the follow-up.

I did not get it going (after a fair bit of trial and lots of error) and must admit other things have overtaken the priority.

I have now also realised that I had not responded (my error entirely) and apologise to @v-alzhan-msft and @efialttes as they put in the effort to try to help me (I know exactly what that feels like after building a Power Apps model to help someone).

If you have any more ideas, I am listening intently.

@WarrenBelz ,

I was a little misled by the thread having an accepted solution.  I would like to suggest making your own entry stating that you were not able to get it going, but wanted to close the subject, and making that the accepted solution or removing the acceptance alltogether.  I went down this avenue thinking it was actually working.  I wasted a bit of time on it.

THanks,

Rod

@martinav

Sunay Vaishnav,'s article to attach files has several comments, one of them reporting it does not work, due to a similar 400 error "No input parameters provided. Please provide required input parameters 'To', 'Subject' and 'Body' ".  In this same article, you can find a workaround in the comment, thanks to

@efialttes ,

Good article.  I did exactly what they said to do.  Even in the comments.  No go.  I will open a new thread.  My case is slightly different.  Attaching a file from a sharepoint library vs attachments from a sharepoint list.  It may matter.  My output is perfect:

{
"variables":
[
   {"name":"CheckArray","type":"Array","value":

      [
       {"Name":"153011-Rev-01.pdf",
        "ContentBytes":{"$content-type":"application/pdf","$content":"JVBERi0i...(LOTS deleted)...UlRU9GDQo="}},

       {"Name":"153012-Rev-00.pdf",
        "ContentBytes":{"$content-type":"application/pdf","$content":"JVBERi0...(LOTS deleted)...xLSVFT0YNCg=="}},

       {"Name":"153013-Rev-00.pdf",
        "ContentBytes":{"$content-type":"application/pdf","$content":"JVBERi...(LOTS deleted)...0xUlRU9GDQo="}}

      ]
   }
]
}

However, there may be some nuance that is different with a library.  I'll open a new post, and see if I can get the raw array format from the Sharepoint List version.  I can always manipulate the information in string form, then push it back into an array in the right syntax.

@efialttes , @WarrenBelz ,

No wait... heres the deal.  There was a lot there to digest.  This is the workaround:

Works fine when you add the .$content to the body statement does the trick.
