Hi,
I have have found numerous material but have not be able to come right by sending an automated email from a Power Automates flow via One Drive with multiple attachments. I would also be open to use SharePoint if not possible via Once Drive, but OD would be my first preference.
Key Points
Power Automate
Able to Change File ID via Excel. The ID will then pull through to the flow so as to easily switch Files/Lists/Folders from my excel spreadsheet
One Drive (For Multiple Attachments)
Single email with all attachments
Issue: I have been able to achieve the above for only a single attachment but given the I use functions such as excel, compose and apply to each to achieve the above mentioned flow for a single attachment it will not allow me to use functions such as 'Initialize Variable' as this cannot be part of apply to each. The error says **The operation 'Initialize variable' can only be used at top level**.
Look forward to assistance.
Regards
Mike

Hi @Anonymous
Where the files are obtained from (OneDrive, SharePoint, Azure, Dropbox, etc.) has no bearing on ability to add multiple attachments to an email... you could even have files coming from multiple sources, you need just need to make sure you have configured an array variable which contains the correct data (files).
This article details the steps: Flow of the Week: Send multiple attachments on a single email
Regards to your error message;
As you've found you cannot 'Initialize Variable' within an 'Apply to each' loop... you need to add at the top level, see below:

You need to use the 'Send an email (V2) action, and not the 'Send an email notification (V3)' action

Hi Jay,
Thank you for the reply.
A key point I need assistance with is being able to Change File/Folder ID via Excel. The ID will then pull through to the flow so as to easily switch Files/Lists/Folders from my excel spreadsheet

Hey @Anonymous
Sorry, I really don't follow what your trying to achieve.
Could you outline your use case / requirements ignoring the potential technical implementation.
Thanks
Hi Jay,
No worries managed to do what I need to except:
Start by adding a “apply to each loop”, then chose the “body” output from the “Get Attachments”
How do I 'apply to each loop'?
All else seems ok in the flow.

I am planning to make an automated flow to attach multiple email attachments from a One drive and/or Google drive, as far as I understand that the way to complete task is making an array and append the files to the array and finally export this as an attachment in email.
I have found lots of references regarding the email attachment from SharePoint. But there is no many related to the One Drive and Google drive.
But at the end of the email action that the array is not shown under the attachment as shown here, can someone helps me to complete the task?
You need to use the 'Send an email (V2) action, and not the 'Send an email notification (V3)' action
